so ive found many recipes on the net for home brewing of absinthe, im not gonna detail here, but it calls for a point where the mix is fermented in alcohol, and i was wondering, since green dragon is basically the same, just with different herbs, what would happen do you think if i just popped some weed into the absinthe herbal mixture and let it all ferment together?
it doesn't matter what alcohol you use but the higher the proof the better the outcome. i suggest something like bacardi 151 or everclear but i've been told the 190 proof is no longer made but 160 proof is still around. it only takes a few hours and you'll be able to see the oily film on the surface if allowed to sit still during the soak. once the soak time is up (time varies according to proof) then remove the bud and either save it and let it dry for smoking later or toss it (i toss mine after drying the 1st one...you'll see) and then you can syphon off the layer or drink it down. i use appx 1/8 in a half pint of bacardi 151 for about 4 hours but it's something you'll have to experiment with to find what ya like.

Hey guys,
I'll forgoe the long lecture on absinthe, it's history and methods of creation and assume that you know all that or just don't care and move right onto my point...
Absinthe as we all know is basically a type of vodka so go with a really strong one if steeping (soaking the mash in the spirit) such as balkan to get a real good absinthe.
m.g. is bob on with the alcohol content tho, the higher the better, although I've found gin to be quite a good one to use for potcohol as it's all ready got a bit of a herby taste to it! Tey and get hold of a bottle of millers 40% (about 80proof to you guys) and just leave it in for longer! Produces a very interesting drink.
Take it steady out there guys...
