Where to get those Bus tubs to catch run off.
Or any other suggestions would be apretiated.
I'm going to be doing a SOG and I need something to place the pots in.
Either Bus Tubs.
Or something bigger.
To hold all of them.

You can buy bus tubs from any restaurant supply house on the net or in your local area. Not real expensive and very sturdy. Even try eBay for that matter.

Big lots sells sterilite products I bet you can find the same thing there. It would not be as thick for sure but to catch run off it should be fine.

would building a pan, outta sheet metal,be out of the question? I would say a sheet of 26 gauge metal would be cheaper than the catch pan. What cha think
jdog? Let me know and I'll tell ya how to make a seamless waterproof leakproof pan.

Thanks for all the idea's.
For some reason I couldn't find them anywhere.
But I live in a backwards town.

Go ahead and give us a tutorial on building the catch pan you had in mind, GaGRown.

Go buy a drain pan for hotwater heaters. They are made for the hotwater heater to sit in and incase the tank gets a leak, the pan will catch the water. There are square ones and round ones.

Is this somthing like you're talking about? They may look small in the pics but hotwater heaters fit in them so they are a good size.

You can also look in a farm supply store. You could use 1 or 2 big ones instead of many smaller ones. They have containers of all sizes, up to like 50 gallon.

I saw a set up like this in a hydro store. The res must have been 50 gallons, with a power head pump circulating the nutes. It had no top, so I guess if you keep them circulating you don't get algea.

jdog here ya go on the pan! Start by figuring how big of a pan would be ideal for you! Give them some room! Take tape and measure length and width.Keep in mind we already know what the depth is.Go to ya sheet metal, take a straight edge rule like a yard stick, use an awl or 16 penny nail to scribe ya marks on the sheet.Start at the bottom corner and mark a 1/2 inch, then 3 inches. Then the length of your measurment.Put a mark, then go 3 inches and a 1/2 inch.Do the same for the width. And again for the length. You have laid the pan out.Now you gotta cut it out! Using sheet metal shears, cut the 1/2 inch line outlining your pan.Take a pair af red handle snips and cut the corners of the pan to the inside of the 1/2 mark. That half mark is going to be turned flat on a metal break.Take the pan and bend each 3 inch mark to a 90' degree.Pull it out the break and you have yourself a pan!Easy, huh?

They are a little less than 2x2x6 feet and are designed for storage of artificial trees. WalMArt sells them at the end of winter.
