the bulb in my cool tube is moving. i have a 465 dayton blowing at the air out. Its not touching the cool tube or anything in fact, its just shaking in mid air. lol. But i'm concern if this is normal?

also i made a crack on top of the cool tube. very small. Will it spread over time? (like when u have a crack in your front car window and overtime it will stretch)

if so, how can i prevent it from getting any longer?

funny thing is that i got it today and already damage it. i'm like a little kid who gets excited over a new toy.

oh forgot to mention that its a 400w MH. I don't know if heat might also stretch it?

thanks in advance.

Just hang it secure the air movement can move them around a little. Are you using the silver flexable dryer vent hose to feed the air in to the light?

The little shaking can reduce the life of the bulb by a little but 400w is not that expensive and they even sell them at HD.

You can cover the crack with foil tape but it can contuine to run. The gule used to fix windshields will not last long on cool tubes they get to hot. btw

Use JB Weld....

It bonds anything together... and I've used it on the exhaust manifold of my old FJ40 Landcruiser.

It'll hold.

Shit... that stuff wouldn't melt if it was on the BULB.
