i like lots of songs which come from bands that "on principle" I should really hate. But then again I just dont give a f*&%k what other people think about my taste. And by the way, that song rAwks.

air supply... now that's a band devoid of any redeeming qualities, imo.
But yeah, journey rocks.

Musical tastes are such a joke. Listen to whatever you want to. Forget about all those assholes who'll judge you on what you listen to. Trust me, they probobly like the EXACT SAME THING, but have been conditioned by their peers and parents to only listen to a certain genre.
If you find britney spears's music appealing, LISTEN TO HER.
Even if she may have no talent, the music can still be catchy, think of it as instead of listening to britney spears, you're listening to the editor and composer of the music, the ones behind all the technical equipment who put the soundwaves together so they sound the way they do..
of course, it depends on what you get  out of music.

Journey is one of my favorite groups, and that particular song (As well as the group itself) kicked major ass back in the day.
Brings back memories, too....

Not that this is really anything to brag about, but I had lunch with Journey when i was around 10. Went to a concert to see Weird Al Yankovic (I know, great combo) and due to friendly connections, I got to meet Al.
While I was waiting in the backstage area, these guys called me over and asked my mom if I could hang out with them for a bit. I really had no idea who they were other than they were famous. Kinda funny after all these years.

lol ya I hate it when people are embaraced to admit they like a certain song cause of its genre or whatever, my friends become like speechless when they see like Nelly Furtado, or Blondie, or any 80's band or anything like that instead of hip hop lol I just say fuck em and blast it anyway hahaha
