SNL Best Of Will Ferrell. Game over best movie for when your high ever, watching the cowbell skit with Christopher Walken made me laugh so hard I almost died from lack of oxygen intake.

Waking Life (Most people can't follow it but if you've taken any kind of philosophy class or just like philosopy you should like it. If not, then the asthetic quality of the movie is cool. It's done like that new Keanu Reeves moovie where they film it and then paint over the film.)

Yellow Submarine (Gotta love The Beatles)

And Now for Something Completely Different (or any Python film but this one happens to be my favorite. it's only funny if your stoned.)

Willy Wonka (The old version. It has it's moments)

Old Disney Movies (My personal favorites inculde Fantasia, Alice in Wonderland, The Rescuers and The Great Mouse Detective)

Eternal Sunshine of the Spottless Mind (Really cool movie, sober or stoned.)

It's an old thread, but I had to put in my two cents. I think that the best movie by far when you're stoned is The Boondock Saints. It has so much action and violence and religion that it makes you really philosophical when you're stoned, but it's also a fuckin hilarious movie.

Tonight i planned on getting stoned and will most likely enjoy a ppv movie, some choices are The Ringer, Big Momma's 2, Aeon Flux, The New World, Hostel, Saw II, Jarhead, and Doom. Which should i pick? (sorry for hijacking)

I would have to say I like to watch fear and loathing in Las Vegas while I'm stoned, or the movie about the doors by Oliver Stone

I think the best movies I've ever watched high are Monty Python movies. They are definately better high. Movies that I have to think too much tend to make me sleepy. I did try to watch the Doors movie, as someone mentioned, but recall that I felt like the movie took forever, and eventually fell asleep.

Overall, I like to pick out something funny, because it is usually funnier. Someone mentioned a philosophical slant on movies, and that' not a bad idea, as long as it is interesting. Try Butterfly Effect for something like that - every time I watch that, I find something new I missed previously.

I've found Butterfly Effect to be great...
Requiem For A Dream doesn't make you happy, but it always puts me in a certain mood... the cinematography, the settings... the way they portray the addictions over and over again... incredible.
If you're in a humorous mood, Zoolander becomes one of the funniest things you've ever seen. I always find it boring and exaggerated when I'm sober, but stoned... man is it funny as HELL>
Half Baked is funny too, but it degrades (for me) after the first half.
People say family guy and simpsons and all that are great stoned, but I don't really go for that... too much witty humor that passes me by in my semi-slow state of mind.
Spiderman movies can be pretty fun to watch stoned... kinda rushy when he's soaring between buildings and such..
Final Fantasy Advent Children is beautiful...
Boondock Saints is sort of an underground movie, I had no idea it existed until a couple months ago, it's GReeaattt.
And if you like their accents, try Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels... another good one, semi-pot related...
The Beach is wonderful stoned, reminds me immensely of my dreams...
Waynes' World movies I have yet to try, going to this weekend, same with SLC Punk, hopefully very good..
OH! And "Hook"!! nice vibes stoned...

The Triplets of Belleville is by far the best movie I have ever seen stoned. I've never watched it straight, so I'm not sure if its supposed to make sense. Great Movie.

Oh, and it isn't a movie, but the TV show LOST is unbelievable when you're high. You have to start watching from the first episode though, because the show plays like 1 long movie. Nothing is resolved at the end of an episode.

A decent comedy would have to be 'Half-baked/Potheads'
Horrors would go to 'when a stranger calls'. (Runner-up is Saw 1 & 2)
Action would go to 'Go'.

Drug movies. Fear and Loathing in Las VEgas is a favorite. Trainspotting is good until the sad parts. I watched that movie blazed as shit with a few friends and we all got teary and really sad.

I remeber watching The Matrix stoned a while back, and I must say; that movie will have you trippin' out. At least for me it did. I just remember thinking what it would be like if that was all real. It's a mad trip. It only worked for the first one though, I guess the others weren't as mind blowing as the first.
