Best live band? favorite concert?

So whats the best live show everyones seen?

To pick one from many i saw Turbonegro, norweigen nutcases, twice when they toured Australia last year.They put on a great show and even threw a bucket of "dolphin blood" over the crowd. Its was funny to look round a heap of people dripping with blood. One of the guitar players was so coked out he just threw his arms around, put guitar on and strum, take it offf and roll around trying to sing.
Glorious stuff.

Ramones were very memorable.
At the same (?) festival saw Nick cave, Mudhoney, Sonic Youth and Iggy pop play "I wanna be you dog". That was pretty entertaining.

man the only concert ive been too is linkin park not that good i mean they were awsome but i dont really like them anymore man i want to go to a slipknot concert or a tool concert. At the linkin park concert too my first concert we sat in seats i was with my mom and dad HORRIBLE!!!!!!

Metallica is always amazing to see live. Clutch is also really bad ass cause they will usually just get up and jam for a long time and do a lot of improv stuff.

pennywise,social d,kottonmouth kings,bad religion,offspring,sex pistoles all great live bands.I really couldnt pick a favorite concert that ive been to they all have been great experiances. Inland invasion 2 was pretty cool,kottonmouth kings was hella tight for the first time.I Love MUsic.

as far as performance wise i'd have to say tool, i have seen them guite a few times and they never miss a note, and maynard is a bad ass(very weird bad ass, but bad ass none the less)

but i still have to go with deftones, they just get me so pumped

anyway, the best band ive ever seen live was a local one.. theres an anual local music festival here and this year a local band, Velafax, totally tore shit up.. it was awesome

Clutch is also really bad ass cause they will usually just get up and jam for a long time and do a lot of improv stuff.I saw them 4 or 5 years ago. I liked the breakdowns that they did. The singer would leave the stage and they would just play for like 5-10 minutes at a time. Although I was pissed about the show, because Stuck Mojo was supposed to open, but they cancelled and some really crappy death metal band filled in.


Laugh all you want, but seriously Everclear has always put on a great show. I stopped liking them so much when they released that horrible american movie soundtrack or whatever, but I'll still go see them if they come around. Great energy. And even though I'm not a huge fan of Korn, their shows are always amazing.

If you are an undergroung hiphop fan, never pass up a chance to see any groups from Quannum Records. If the whole label is touring again, it is an absolute must for any hiphop fan period! If you have never seen a sample scratched visually, they were the first hiphop tour to introduce the DVD turntable. It is amazing to watch. :)

I saw Kraftwerk live and they were a headfuck and a half. If I only I was high it would have been the trippiest thing, they had a phat plasma screen with trippy images to go with the music and all. :D

Dashboard Confessional and Thrice at Meriweather.


OAR at HFS STUDIO 819!! BEST SHOW! only like 25 ppl there and i met the whole band, chilled with them at hooters. Real fuckin chill. Awesome time.

I'd have to say Thin Lizzy, Slane concert '81 - nothing has ever been able to top that for me.
Although The Smiths in the SFX hall was another extremely memorable one '84/85 maybe :)

Rob Zombie is the best live though. Seriously, no band Ive seen has topped him. :cool:

I was going to name G'n'R when i saw them around 91, the use your illusion tour, in toronto. That was after the metallica/gnr tour which started a riot in montreal. Skid row opened which i missed, but my 2 hits of acid kicked in for the main show.
I havenet been to too many concerts, but have some great live tool stuff from kaaza. I really want to see them
