I use 4-foot 40-watt fluorescent tubes exclusively ... when I was told about the T5 lamps, I researched them very thoroughly ... I do not think the T5s lumen output justifies the MUCH higher price per lamp ... I still use T12s ... here is a great place to do your own research:http://www.1000bulbs.com/category.php?category=18
clicking on the details tabs, and comparing the T5 to the cheap T12, I think you may agree with my findings ... by the way, this link is a very good place to order your specialty bulbs, etc ... good luck ... :smokin:

I added 2,000 watts of CFL bulbs two 400 hps this time. I'm getting much better results in this 3rd. grow vs. my second with HPS only. The plants actually look the way they're supposed to! This is a pic of my leading lady of 12 at flowering week 9 - That was a couple weeks ago. About 2 more weeks to go..........
Good luck & have fun!

lady vapor... 2000 watts .... WOW
you are hard core.... ilove IT!....
T5 do cost a pretty penny but they have there place... if you use them for side lighting on a monster plant the results will amazing...
they also work very well to grow 20+ tiny plants.. less then 5 inches tall when flowered...
if you have the bling... then they are worth having!
