help! what will melt metal?

My grow closet is huge but there happens to be a shelf in the way..I need to find a way to get that sucker off of there...is there a heat gun of some kind that will melt metal and that I can safely use indoors?

It doesnt look to me that the shelf is attached to the wall but then you could just pull it out of the closet so im going to hope your not that stupid and for some reason you cant just pull it out. Those shelves even look like they come apart but anyway yeah a torch is one way to cut it in half but yeah not the best thing to do indoors if you have a circular saw that will work you can buy blades made for cutting metal but those bars look thin enough in the middle to cut with out fucking up a regualr blade. When you cut it stand to the side of the blade not directly behind it. It should be pretty simple but if some one put it in there, there should be an easier way to get it out so im doubting your intelligence at the moment. Whatever works.

If I took it out, how would I hang the light?

If those self are attached to the wall they should be attached with just screws in the tracts along wall at the bottom and top of each track. Look close on the piece next to the wall way better than cutting it out. As for hanging your lite go to the hardware store and get a hook on one end and a pointed screw on the other end and scew into stud on top of closet. Take a hammer and lightly tap the sheet rock if there is any and go along top closet untell you hear solid noise and that your stud. If you can't find a stud or in the wrong place they also have other type of hooks at hardware store that are made for hollow walls, they only cost a buck apiece. Also if all else fails on your shelf get a hack saw and cut shelf out. But I bet it just attached with screws you just have to find them. Good luck on your new project Bizzy

Alright you get that damn shelf out and of course your going to want a light. I cant tell you how to hang it though because there are many different types of lights the best part is that whatever light you buy almost all lights that i know of have fixtures for them that are made to be hung or screwed into the ceiling. Whatever light you use you want to be able to ajust the light as the plant grows so get some ceiling hooks or somthing that will allow you to change the height of the light so buy a light and hang it above your plant and raise it as it grows but dont put the light to close or the heat might harm your plant. You should already know that though.
