For some reason,my computer will no longer display the thread "bud and no papes",maybe it's gotten too large...lol. I've recieved warnings for a long time,that " a script is causing explorer to run slowly..and do I want to abort it ?"

So maybe we should start a new thread ?

might need to upgrade your RAM, cuz if it is ram, it must be really low to not be able to open a page, no matter how big it is. it could also be spyware/adware causing your computer to run slower, it could be a virus, it could be registry problems, it could even be your computers settings aren't set right, causing it to run half-assed or not at all...

Spybot Search and destroy, download and run this (after fully updating it), after it's finished, make sure everything is selected, and click Fix Selected Problems. if it asks you if it can run spybot when you next restart your computer, click yes, and restart, as some things may be in use once your computer is fully started, and therefore, unable to be removed.

Crap Cleaner, download/update this fully as well, then under the Cleaner > Windows option, click Run Cleaner, after that's done, then click on Issues, run a scan, and if anything comes up, make sure it's box is checked the click Fix all selected problems.

Regseeker, download then go to Clean the registry, make sure all the boxes are checked, then click 'OK!' when it's done, click Select All > Select All, and right click, then click Delete.

you also might wanna run a virus scan, but in this day and age of computers, it's only about 200% more of a chance that the problem lies within Spyware/Adware, rather than viruses...

also, it may help to Defrag your computer, if you are on windows click Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmentor

Thanx for yer advice,I'll try some of it and see if it works. I already have Spybot and a handful of other spyware programs. This just started happening the other day and I wonder if one of my spyware programs,is blocking it now,because of an up-dated definition.

nope, lol well other then your ram, but it's highly unlikely that's the problem, if all else fails and you got the money, never hurts to try, but like i said it's highly unlikely that's the problem, just out of curiousity, what kind of computer do you have and how old is it?

Have a good one !Hey bro..I had that problem...1st spybot is a piece of crap...I had that and AVG antivirus, and Adaware-se...they all got there Butt kicked by a Trojan; I picked up at bearshare...I bought Spybouncer...It removed the trojan, and unlocked my system...as far as firefox..I tried that to...regardless of what they tell you...It is not totally compatible with explorer. (this may be your biggest problem)

recommendations:
uninstall firefox, and any other free spyware...go back to explorer. get ccleaner(after you finish uninstalling); As suggested above...this is a wipe tool that deletes temp files and cookies and cleans all the "crap" off your harddrive.

This is good, because sometimes you are actually upgrading. Damn, One more thing...this helped me as far as pop-ups...I installed a google toolbar, and I have to OK pop-ups, or I don't get any.

Well I must admit,I only have 512k ram and and my computer is a custom tower from a computer shop,about 3 years old..I think. It has a gigabyte motherboard,capable of runnin up to an amd athlon 3600xp and 3 gigs of ram,I do plan on addin at least one more gig of ram,if not more,pretty soon. I reckon that I'll check and see if the disk needs defraggin and git back to ya.

Those are some interesting ideas that ya have and I realize that I need to actually buy the software and git a bonafide result..I'll be able to do that pretty soon. I'm seriously thinkin of building a new computer myself or with a little help..lol.

So what I'd like to ask ya,and anyone else who can pitch in their 2 cents,what motherboard do ya reccomend for an amd cpu and *.* chipset ? I'll be building it for mostly gaming purposes and out-putting pics on photo-paper.

^^^^ incase no one is able to answer your question here, they can help you out greatly on what you need, all you gotta do is give 'em a budget and what you plan to use the computer for and they can tell you what's best for your situation, and 512k is pretty low, now instead of thinking it's highly unlikely that, i'm going to say it's a pretty good chance it is the ram, like i said 512k is really small, lol i have 512 MB in mine.

Wow..so yer sayin that you ain't growin in the greenhouse now ? Taking care of one,is less work than 7,no doubt,plus,growin in full-light will result in a bigger yield,with more potent flowers..so I say "Go for it man !"

Have a good one ! :stoned:hey,,actually i should of pulled em a few days ago on full moon,i missed by 2 days,,,my own reasonings,,,i can grow from feb till dec,and yes harvest more than once as well,i plant at different time zones as well to shock my plants to either bud early and go back to veg or show siighns of males after shocking,i have that down to a science now,,i now can make all females after starting indoor then taking outdoor to show sighn of shock!!after shock it is either a male or female,,now this is the gold,,they are only a month old when i find this out,,,,,that is how i am able to plant so many with knowing what i am doing,,this is 3rd yr of indoor to outdoor and same results are,,once indoor under a light for almost a month,i take outside and plant and wait for a few days,,if they pop out sacks ,,chuck em,if they do nothing,,keep em(females,100 percent),,only so far to me tho!!granted they stoip growing for a while to get back to there norm after the shock and they know what to do,,,then nature and thoughts and pyayers and energys and all goes into effect

That's cool,how you start indoors,then shock em into showing their sex,also I like that you start them indoors and then take them out,I found out that a 1kwatt mh light,is great for starting the plants,it keeps em short and the internode space,smaller too . My friend and I,tried that way out and we just didn't follow through on it,and thought that it was too much shock for em,plus I couldn't be there as much as I wanted and as a result,the plants suffered because of his lack of skill and knowledge.

After I got in trouble recently,I became too paranoid to go see how things worked out..dang it ! Heck..I'm still too paranoid ! lol

I'm glad to hear that you have a long growing season too,I figured that y'all did,but wasn't sure if you were too far north for a long season.

It takes seeds just a few weeks,to reach one foot..but if the roots are sucking up salt-water,they will die.

PS: How about some Pot-Tarts for breakfast ? :D :thumbsup: :dance:take a gander,,,i even pulled three from greenhouse,,it is looking better to me,more light to leaves,,also one by itself has a broke branch,,i repaired it just by conecting a cloths hanger to the 2 branches and it started to bond already,it is one of these pics with a clothshanger that bonds together,,my outside grow,,oh yes,,inside now will get bigger cuz i relieved the root systym from other plants growing,,now more root room and light to help and aide the grow,,so many factors in a grow,,amazing how many things can come into when growing weed,,here is how i water,,i use fish shit (quart in bottom of 5 gal,,then fill and let overflow into soils and surounding areas,,i have clothshangers for my hooks i make,,

This is one area. The pine needles were transported to be placed around the trees. Those aren't pine trees. I didn't take the picture with the intention of anything other than to take some shots. You can see Life growing on the near side, to the right is where the water passes by, leaving some swirling around, in this little "bay". At the time of this picture, it must've been near the switching of the tides because the water is pretty stagnant.

buy macintosh...
or, when I was researching what I wanted in a monster computer, I stumbled across IBM computers. We all know Dell uses cheap components. IBM computer was only a couple hundred bucks more than Dell, but...you get Genuine IBM parts, not pc campatible parts, and they have a support system and IBM software, that can only be accessed/implemented by owners of IBM computers.

I know there are tons, of parts and barebones kits out there, but If I had the money...My choice would be Mac 1st, then IBM...sometimes when building your own, you can install parts that are listed compatible, but really don't interact well together.

I am a firm believer in building your own box... I prefer Nforce boards probably stay away from bleeding edge stuff and go with solid a performer... I have a Biostar a DFI and a Abit,out of the 3 I like the abit best... Torog,,, are you looking to upgrade the whole box or keep some stuff like Hard drive,CPU etc.???

As far as Vid Card I like ATI but, with me Bleeding edge is so freaking expensive and buggy, so i stay with the rage of last year,bugs are usually fixed and you can play any game on the market with it... Gforce is good too... if you want I am a pretty good deal searcher and I can look up some stuff...

if only i had enough money to build my own =/ i hate this POS HP, it waaas good til my idiot grandfather tried to mess with electricity and fried about half the shit in my room, i got lucky, i replaced the power supply and it started right back up, but now i'm wondering if more wasn't shorted out...

Yup..I bet pulling 3 plants,will make a big difference in the light to leaves and competition for ferts. I like the way ya repaired the broken branch..it's amazing how much the plants will bear and recover from,huh ?

I've heard good things about Abit and I'll have to see what they offer. I prefer AMD and Nvidia,as far as cpu's and vid cards go,but I'd be willing to try ATI,I had one before and it seemed okay,I currently have a GeForce vid card,but it only has 64megs of ram.

I would like to start from scratch,with a new case with better cooling and power,but I may not be able to do that,in which case,my board will handle up to a 3800xp,amd athlon,I currently only have a 2200xp athlon,so it needs to be upgraded,if I upgrade the vid card and ram.

As for not being able to load that page,I'm pretty sure now,that it's security related,because of a script that's running with the thread.

My daughter and I,have plans on doing a container grow for veggies and I hope that I can teach her how to grow any plant,there are certain basic rules to follow and we both stand to learn something from the experience,I'm sure.:) We're both big believers in organic veggies and sick and tired of the sorry tomatoes at the grocery store and other veggies too,the organic produce,is usually over-priced as well.

Yup,I clean out my cache regularily and cookies too,using Spybot,also with another cleaner. I hadn't thought about allowing can dot com,in the privacy area tho,maybe I'll try that.

I plan to attend along and speak during the public comment period.
I know of at least three others going.

a patient, or as a patient advocate, I would encourage it.

Although "medical cannabis" is not technically on the agenda, in light
of the San Diego raids, and reported investigations of more doctors, I
feel it is important to make a statement.

As you know, I advocate for the most safe and most appropriate
standards for the practice of medicine in general, and for
medical-legal consultations in particular, that can be most defended in
a court of law, and/or to one's peers at the Medical Board.
And I have disdain for doctors who cheapen the protective effect of the
medical-legal consultation by cutting corners and "cranking 'em out."

However, I don't presently have enough information about the particular
dispensaries or the particular doctors involved to judge them.
I know there are a number of embarrassing low standards clinics around,
but fortunately, they are the minority, and often, the ones accused and
denigrated, actually have the best standards. We shall see.

What I DO know is that when access to medical cannabis is denied, it's
the sickest who suffer the most.

And a pretty strong conclusion you are making while presenting no

You know, that's how I saw it go down in Walgreen's last week! I was
standing in line for my prescription, and it appeared to this trained
observer, that the only criteria for sale was ability to pay!
I actually saw a poor person denied their medicine.
I felt embarrassed to be observing this.

It looks to me to be a violation of the Americans with Disability Act
to prejudge a person by their physical appearance. I'm glad the ACLU

hmm??? "open-ended" that wouldn't be smart of the doctor if it was

I've read the complaints about half of the dozen doctors I know who
have been investigated, as well as some of MBC's expert's.

She wishes that we had some medical-marijuana clubs here too..and i hope that someday we will. I'll be voting for Kinky Friedmann to be the govenor here,because he's the most likely to support medical-marijuana,out of the rest of the candidates here.

I come here today,with a very heavy heart,as my close and dear friend of over 20 years,has passed away. He had just turned 59,at the end of July and he was a Korean war vet. My gal went to check on him(yesterday) and found him dead,he had been dead for a couple of days and my gal is still pretty upset over his condition that she found him in,fortunately,he had his air conditioner on,or it would have been worse.

We have to go to his house today and find his family's phone numbers,as he didn't talk to em much and we were his 'family',they still don't know yet..so I'm praying for God to give us the strength today to carry on and contact his family..it's gonna be a rough one today,bro. :(

wow,,all i can say is wow,,no maybe i say a little more,,in my front yard i have a few palm trees that a friend gave to me from his moms house before she died,at my grandmas house i went over one night after she died and took a cactus after the prop was sold that we had there when we were growing up.i took it and planted it in my front yard,if not for me tieing it up it would be so small,but i have tall 10 or 12 ft steak next to cactus,,it is growing to the stars,i chopped the palm trees once and they grew back,,both trees are from the dead,is it wrong for me to say after the death is life!!!!atleast i can bring back or my garden can bring back in mind and spirit and soul and love all the memories of great and bad times even in death in the flowers of my magical garden and soil..still want me,look at me feet.i be a hippie and dont take showers,i hate shoes and socks,i love my john lennon ,ozzy glasses,i dont use sheets,my house is a half ass clean house,i have long hair and am afraid of showers so i go jump in pool and get a clorine wash,,love jack

Yer right that we keep our loved ones alive,in our hearts,where they will be forever. :) But where do ya put the obituaries..in the Bible or in the back of yer photo albums ?

My friend's obituary,came out yesterday,one week from the day he was found by my gal..after he'd been dead for several days..and his family swooped in yesterday,like a bunch of vultures..I turned over everything to them and took em down to the lawyer's office,his daughter promised me,that she'd call back last night..but she didn't..so now I can only assume,that they've gone back to yankee land,up in Ohio,and that they won't be here to hold a memorial service for my friend. We'll have to do it ourselves,I reckon..if we want to have one..after their behaviour yesterday,I don't know if I'd even want them there..pretty daggum sad..I tell you what !

Anyhow,I'm sure glad that you have a friend like Peter,he sounds like a good man and brother:)

I also wanted to say that I 'snuck' into yer other thread,and saw the pics of you and yer grandson and daughter-in-law,and thought they were so cool !

Ok I havent really read any of the text because I was just so damn amazed at these photos and I just gotta ask. Are you a medical marijuana patient or do you supply marijuana to patients or what!? Lol I mean damn it's amazing that you havent been busted. Sorry if I'm missing something here but I'm just in awe :p.

Well dang..sorry 'bout that,I kinda had a feelin that I might be wrong...lol.

We're doing better with time,however,we won't be able to hold the memorial service for my friend,till next Saturday,on the 9th. His children have already taken his ashes back to their home and he'll be buried in a national veteran's cemetary there.

Is that an a/c unit that I see in yer tent ? lol If so..that's great man ! :thumbsup:

It also looks like there's a stereo speaker in there..my eyes ain't so good these days..I could be wrong. I really like the American flag that ya got there ! :D

Have a good several ! :stoned: :D :stoned: :D :stoned:the old timer is a pearl surviver and other is a recent war vet,,a friend sent me that knowing i was a former jarhead high and tight marine,,semper-fi,,do or die,never lie always faithfull,eat chow in 5 seconds,spit shine shoes,creased kakies and camos,salute flag on parade deck at every 8 am in the am,i remember running across the parade deck trying to beat the colors cuz we had to stand wherever we got colors and saluted flag,sometimes missing chow line before 2 batalions ate first and getting scraps or last of chow,or standing in line 2 blocks long after colors we all ran to chow hall,,freaking crazy stories ,,
