Would i be able to spray seltzer water on the plants (carbonated water...with CO2) to deliver CO2? does anybody do this? i can't think of any other way to deliver a good amount of CO2.

How large is your room.. I just got a co2 controller and was playing with it and its amazing how much co2 humans put out.. there is a cacluator that tells you how much time you need to spend in your space to fill it up with your spent co2.. for smaller areas this might be usefull.. you could try the fermenting way.. but honestly it might all be in vain.. if you wanna do it you should do it right.. or maybe make sure all your other parts are dialed and then attack the co2 situation. I have never heard of the seltzer water put would be carefull plants use their co2 in the light cycle and spraying your plants with water might burn them then...

I RENT A SMALL TANK OF CO2, FROM MY LOCAL WELDING SHOP. THIS CONTROLER WORKS WONDERFUL.

yeah and if you like that controller look it up on ebay and get it with a ph controller for under 160.. such a good deal use the co2 controller for your tank and a timer keep the ph controller and use it with a small pump to keep your ph in check..

I remember seeing in a grow video, I grow chronic i think it was, where he took baking soda and vinager and mixed them together. They both started to bubble up creating co2, probably do a search to find a more detailed explaination.

Dry Ice is pure CO². Soda water will not raise the level high enough to do anything but waste time and money. The hole idea of using enhanced gas (CO²) is to raise the level above 1500-ppm for extend periods of time and holding it there for many hours. If you are using CFL then don't waste your time with CO² they do not produce enough light to help the plant process the extra amount of CO² in the air.

You should have a sealed grow environment and have a closed exhaust to keep the gas in. You do not bring in fresh air from the outside when you use enhanced gas you just use fans to move it around your plants and fill the room.

You should change out the air once every 6 hours then fill the room back up with more CO² and start all over again.

Plus you do know the plant can only process the enhanced CO² during the light cycle?

I'm going to do an experiment this grow with dry ice.
I've been told that placing pieces of dry ice on your soil in the last 3 weeks will bring the purple out of the purple strains. And feed them for the last few weeks as well.
I'll let you guys now if it works.
It will be in mid summer so if it works it definately works.
Only the Purple Strains will have the ice placed directly on the soil.
And the Blue Strains too.

Mobay ,will those tablets work with just water in a container?
Or do you need that whole set up?

I also got some of those Co2 tabs, useful for small hobbyists. Do you have to make sure the tablet is completely dissolved in the water or do you put it in and pour it on straight away.
