OK, don't go buying an ounce and a half with it, that's way overpriced. Here in Cinci, a QP of high-end hydro is about $350, if prices are similar for you you should buy a half-pount of good hydro.

And don't bake it all into a fucking cake. Just use it to stay high as much as you want over that 2 week period. Make brownies (Using cannabutter, see the recipes section of this site), make green dragon, roll a LOT of blunts, buy a bong if you don't have one, use said bong, buy weed equipment (Rollers, grinders, the like), etc.

And if you're into any other drugs, use some of the cash to get those. Alcohol, if you are into tobacco get some really nice cigars, shrooms, acid, anything...

One time in that 2 weeks, get stoned and go to your favorite restaurant. Buy whatever, just go crazy.

And, near the end of the 2 week period, throw a HUGE party. Alcohol, weed, everything, let anyone come who you know well enough so the party is good, but won't get out of control from random assholes who get the cops called on you.

I have to correct this misconception whenever I see it. Money does not magically turn into whatever you buy with it. It's a system of exchange. "Wasting money" does not make any of the food on the planet disappear. Actually, it probably helps progressive causes overall by redistributing wealth from this rich family to whoever they get the ganja from. Unless you're suggesting he should donate the money instead, which would be a nice thing to do but hardly, in my opinion (and I'm a Socialist, for crying out loud), his obligation, I don't see your point.


Anyway - don't spend it all on pot, dude! Your friend should buy whatever sort of awesome piece he wants - a good vape, a custom Roor, whatever. Drop a couple hundo on some good bud and smoke whenever you want for the 2 week duration. Stash the rest away for something else; unless he regularly gets huge wads of cash to blow through (and if that were the case, I would imagine he'd already have ideas as to how to go about spending it), there's no sense wasting it all in such a short time. Spend a couple hundo, have a great 2 weeks, and have plenty left over for rainy days down the road.

Ok here's how the last two weeks have played out. The first day we spent the whole day clearing all the breakable shit our of the house. Then we got supplies, beer, various types of alchohol, weed, acid, shrooms and tons of chips and snack food, we were pretty stingy with how much we spent because we were planing to have a party every night for the two weeks so we needed to conserve money.

That night however, almost everybody that came brought some of their own graduation money to fund the party. There were 43 of us that first night and we ended up with $9650, including that original 2500. So we set 1000 aside in case of any emergency or last minute repairs that might be needed. And the rest we put in my friend's safe. It was pretty much an open safe policy, if we ever ran out of something or if you needed something, you just asked my friend and he'd give you the money and then write it down to make sure none of it was being stolen.

they were the best parties I've ever been to and the best I will probably ever be to, everybody knew each other because we were all friends and since it was a gated community we didn't have any of the assholes that usually crash our parties. I don't have the list so I can't tell you exactly how much was spent on everything, I do remember seeing that we had spent $60 on movie rentals because my friend has one of those mini movie theaters in his house. The weed was all for the community, but we never had more that 2 ounces, just in case the party got busted. But almost everybody brought their own weed separate from the community weed and everybody was extremely generous with it. There was almost always at least 3 bowls going around somewhere in the house. Every day we cleaned up from the night before and set up for the next night. I'll try and post some pictures but I have to figure out how to get them off my phone and on to the computer because I was too lazy to bring a camera.

Clean up last night sucked it took from 12:00 in the afternoon till 11:30 at night to get all the garbage to the dump since there was way too much to just leave out on the curb. I can't remeber the exact amount of money that was left over, there was the emergency money which never was used and then there was like 1000 dollars left. Best party ever.

For one, if you don't have a car, then I'd say, fuck it, buy a pound and save the rest.

But if you do, save half for gas, buy an ounce of bud (which SHOULD last you about a week or two), and spend 500$ for food / things you need.

I myself have a job, so the 1000$ of gas would save me so much, that every 2 weeks (payday) I would spend more on bud than on gas.

Free gas in my opinion man, take that 2500$ and spend it wisely. But again, if your parents are insanely rich then I'd go with 2 lbs of bud :D
