So heres the story: I've been a consistent daily smoker for the past 4 years. Realizing that I was going to have to contend with the distinct possibility of being tested for any potential job I get in my field (mechanical engineering) I preemptively quit on January 5th of this year.
I have a job lined up that starts the 10th of July that I am certain will require a drug test. I'm 98% certain that it is going to be a fiber test.
Last Friday I was at a concert with friends. I saw one friend rolling a cigarette. Unbeknownst to me their was more than just tobacco in there. From what he tells me there was a tiny bit of green in the front, followed by tobacco, followed by a little more green, followed by tobacco. I feel its lucky that it wasn't all mixed up but was placed in that order in the paper. I took one drag after him and distinctly remember tasting only tobacco - which is why I was shocked when he told me there was something else in there.
In the eventuality that I do have to take a fiber test it will probably be in the middle of July. I'm not concerned about passing a U.A as I'm active, relatively low fat and keep myself quite hydrated. It would be a real bummer for me to have a problem with this job as I'm going to have to move out of state.
How worried should I be? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
CN: smoke-free for 5 months, took a drag of what I thought was a cigarette - turned out to have a small amount of something else, tasted only tobacco, am concerned for possible fiber test in a month.
