well, my friend has 2 plants and wanted me to ask this on here. He wants to have a spider or two on his plants to keep the bug problem under control. Its outdoor.And theyre just small spiders. But he wants to know if leaving them on the plant during flowering if there will be spider eggs in the buds. thanks.

But, I would keep all bugs off my plants if possible. Now, if you get a spider mite problem you could introduce lady bugs to control those. But then, and only then, would I consider having any bugs on my plants.

yeah... like bonger said... the only bugs u want on ur plants are ladybugs.

spiders will also control bug population, but they're one of the most detrimental bugs for pot... they string their damn webs all over it and end up killing it. ive lost several plants to spiders... bastards...

A preying mantis will eat it's weaight in insects per day! Don't mess with mother nature! Unless it is a controled environment.Like a grow room! Ladybugs are a great benificial insect.So are wasps and spiders as well.There is a spiders web I love to see in an outdoor grow! That's what we call a Writing spider.It's web is massive in width.I like to see them along the path or a route off the betten path,in the garden as well as all around.Just plain allover the freakin place! Why? Cause when ya creepin' in the early morn to see if ya ladies are still at bay,or should I say standing? They will tell you that someone or sunthin' has been there.Esspecially if the dew is on them you will see a broken web.Proceed with caution! You know how many webs there are and where they are.The spider stays there will not move from it's web.Until it catches a what? INSECT!

setting up a little spider army would be pretty funny to see for an indoor grow, building their webwalls protecting your ladies.

I have always allowed spiders free reign of all gardnes.. indoor and out... never had a single issue with them..

NOT spider mites....

I agree KNome but outdoors I had to clean the webs off every morning.
No biggy I guess. But they are only crawling on it to eat bad bugs,so!:thumbsup:
