I will include pics by the end of the night
So we've got these 30 potted plants or so, and I. The plan was to grow them to about 2-3 ft tall, force flowering to show sex ID, throw the males then plant the fems in their future homes in the wilderness. My dad's friend and old school grower says that we can put the plants in complete darkness for 48 hours to induce flowering and then put them back outside (only the females of course) in their holes. Here's the thing, we dont have a setup for it yet, but we've got a duo of home appraisers coming from the insurance company on thursday!! (these babies are starting to get noticeable by the way)
now some of the plants we can move onto the opposite side of the weeds facing the cornfield (the farmer who owns it is really chill) but we need to start sexing some of the others soon. We have a nice sized shed where our outdoor furnace is, and we could probably build a frame out of wood and black plastic for complete darkness.. but has anyone heard of this 48 hour dark-period method? any problems connected to it? would there just be preflowers or do you think they could actually grow enough to be able to tell with a magnifying glass a positive ID.. and would there be shock issues from putting them back outside? If you know enough about sexing to answer please help soon, we dont have any growlights, keep in mind.
THANKS
