OK. Tomorrow I'm quitting cigs cold turkey. Here's my plan: I'm going to view it as a trip, an experience to get under my belt. Just like I've tried drugs to see what they're like, I'm gonna try this and succeed! :D

You can quit. Cigs are fucking gross anyways.

i just quit, was easier then i thought, just have to have the right mindset and enough weed to smoke, i went through an oz in a few days, then went through more than an oz (prob 40 grams) in about a week...

Quitting cigs is as easy as it sounds, if you really wanted to quit. I quit for 2 years before I started smoking again (I started again because of the amount of weed I'm smoking now) and I never had a craving once.

Go for it dude.

Its alot easier to do during unstressful times. I take extensive breaks most of summer cause im not stressed by school and im not in my routine which is where habits start

I haven't had a cigarette in a week today. :) I was sick last weekend, really bad sore throat and stuff, so just the thought of smoking made me sick. So now I keep thinking of the sore throat, and it seems to be working. Good luck!

On 1/2/02 I quit after smoking for almost 30 years. At the time I quit I was smoking more than 2 packs a day, and boy did my body feel it. Now the annoying hacking cough, the difficulty breathing, and the huge financial drain are gone!

You can do it! Just stay focused on the goal and you will make it.

wow, the encouragement is awesome! I was high when I wrote that post yesterday so the idea sounded a little more revolutionary haha. Haven't had a cig yet today.

From my experience weed clears out my lungs while cigs constrict them. Neither are good for your lungs but at least weed is far less evil.

ive been thinking about starting smoking. id like to get up to a two pack a day habit. smoking makes you look so sophisticated and cool. and you get to hang around the rest of the smokers outside at work. i cant wait to start coughing up phlem. i can afford a 250 buck a month cigarette habit a easy! i am 50 years old, so i shouldnt die from smoking.:rasta:

Chew gum or sunflower seeds.

Hard candies are another good one. I went through several bags of those Starbrite mints.

After three days the physical addiction is gone. Here how I view cigarettes "It's not that you want to smoke a cigarette, you just want to know you can."

I have been quitting for months. They say it is the hardest addiction to beat, not sure if it is true, but they say it. Never realized so many ppl were quitting or recently did. Maybe we need a support group? LOL Good luck.

Good luck man. Next house I get is gonna be cig-smoke-free. Once that happens I'll be quitting for good. Quit for like 5 months at one time, but ended up starting again. I wish like hell I didn't. Cigs are freaking expensive here in FL. You know you have a prolem when you're spending $60 a week on cigs.
