My auction is still going though but whats going on? Am I able to still auction off my item because I cannot log into my account? Would anyone know why my account which just all of sudden not exist anymore? Thanks.

yah, found their live chat, had them send a temp. password to email and they say it can take up to 24 hr's cause of internet traffic and what not. We'll see what happens. Does anyone know why this would happen?

Haven't got a clue, but be extra careful now incase someone hacked it... Don't ever open up an email from Ebay or Paypal cause they just don't send emails,it's a scammer...

LOL skink, i know you from several past lives and i still dont like how you say stuff sometimes. because i get like an email from ebay everyday, sometime 10 or 11 if im bidding on stuff. they send out emails asking if you wanna sell stuff you bought a few months ago etc, they also notify you about your watched list and TONS of other things.

and paypal sends out special offers every now and then and always sends me an email when i send someone payment.

so to say they never send out emails is kinda near sighted. :o

well the only ebay emails I've gotten are two questions from two different ebay users about the item I'm selling...

edit: I talke to 3 people from the live chat, first person said he sent a temp. password to my email( I gave him two different ones becuase I wasn't sure and he didn't even say which one he sent it to), it never came. So the second person says the email could take up to 24 hours...ok, got a little impatient. 3rd person says both emails I provided arnt even registered to any account, so she provided me with a link to live chat that deals with a problem like mine. Now I'm waiting on a agent to chat live to figure this all out....argg

well my opinion is that if you're stupid enough to fall for a phishing email then you deserve what you get. although thats unfair to old ladies who dont know how to use the computer and stuff. but its like those emails saying you won the lottery and they need your bank account number to deposit it. lol, it's probably doing us a favor because it preys on the greedy and stupid.

anyways, you're right. never give away your password for ANY reason and you'll be fine.

But t3chyo the same thing happened to my dads account, try using the guest log in, thats the only way he could get in for like 2 weeks, and he blamed me for it but i didnt do shit, and i could still get in my account fine.

ebay is retarded, i sold something that was illegal for $1500 and they didnt say anything because the listing fees came to somewhere around $56 plus like $70 in commision, but the guy never paid for it and they charged me the $56 dollars anyways and they never refunded except with listing credit, which is bull cause i never sell stuff on there. then i tried to list it again and i found a way to do it for like $10 instead of $50 and they removed the auction almost instantly. bastards!

It turns out I was hacked. Someone sent me an email about a question on an item was selling and its made to exactly like the ebay ones. The guy told me they've been following him and he was trying to sell an ATV(?), I believe he said, on my account, lol. Its all good now, phwww.

yeah thats what people do, happened to my uncle, they tried to sell a car on his account. i bet they sell it, then turn around and run after getting the money. its like robbing someone with mask on. only a little bit safer because its over the net.

anyone ever does it to me and im gonna trace the ip and hunt them down and give them the worth purple nurple they've ever had.

Good to see you got it sorted... So back to my original theory... Don't open emails...

Did you open it in your own email box or log into "My Ebay" and get the message there???

in my own email, the guy on the phone explained to only use my ebay to answer questions, I learned the hard way I guess and this only the 2nd item I've sold on ebay.

Ebay is the best when u need a few bucks...

I only go through My Ebay for messages, that is why Ebay added the feature,so they can have more security...
