For all those begginers looking on from the lurking benches.....dont believe the hype about fluoro being no good for MJ.....BobBong has his CFL thread and i'm getting HUGE results with just regular ass shoplights and 4ft coolwhites.....GK says it all the time and people write it off a useless hippy speak...but it really is about the love you give your plants....I love these like my own....they are my own....and Its really showing....just a little bit of attention and patience is worth 5million lumens....just remember that its supposed to be a source of fun and a diversion and not stress and crying.

Just remember why you started growing in the first place, its easy to get worried about your babies, but just realize that they want to live as much as you want them too.

Keep a steady supply of love in those grows and remember that you started because weed makes you feel good........so should growing.

I started with a few of those energy saving bulb things and it grew, but once i got a 200 watt envirolite which is just a bag ass version of them in the right spectrum. I saw a big differance and i am guessing if i went up to mh/hps i would see as much differance if not more. I think its a case of what you can afford.

Who ever said fluoros being no good is an idiot. Fluorecent lighting can work wonders, I see it happen live in my closet ;) those 4 foot ballasts really rock my plants socks, HID I would prefer, but you can do very well using fluorecent lighting.

Jake this is better served in the basic growing section so more people can see you point of view. I am assuming that was intended as more of a general coment then to make a point for one person.

There are some limits that CFL have but for about 75% or more of the people who grow they are just the key.

Got any pictures? We love to look at pictures

Happy growing :)

For 2-3 plants it's perfect. Also for beginners it's good because they don't produce a bunch of heat!

here they are....not the best quality but you should be able to see what counts.....lively looking plants.....

The first two are the same WW plant.....curvacious leaves

the last three are two different NL's roughly the same size .....the little cross section shot was kinda difficult but i wanted you guys to see that its a jungle down there.

Hey image, perfect example. How many fluorescents did you use to go through both cycles?

They look nice and healthy to me.

I used HPS's and Medal halides when I grew indoors
But I always had that damn heat coming off
the lights to deal with I always had to point a
fan at my lights. If i grow inside ever again I
think I'll give fluorescence a try.
