I posted this on that other thread:

It's Hendrix, "Belly Button Window"

My vote for the Cannabis National (or whatever) Anthem:
1.Well, I'm up here in this womb,
I'm lookin' all around. Mm, mm, mm.
Well, I'm lookin' out my belly button window
an' I see a whole lotta frowns.
An' I'm wond'rin' if they don't want me around.

2.Well, what seems to be the fuss out there?
Just what seems to be the hang?
'Cause you know they just don't want me this time around,
yeah, I'll be glad to go back to spirit land,
an' even take a longer rest before comin' down the chute again.

Man, I sho' remember the last time, baby.
They were still argu'n' about me then.

So if you don't want me now, make up your mind, ah, where or when.
If ya don't want me now, give or take you only got two hundred days.
'Cause I ain't comin' down this way too much more again.

3. You know, they got pills for ills 'n' thrills 'n' even spills,
but I think you're just a little too late.

So, I'm comin' down into this world, Daddy, regardless of love and hate.
'N' I'm gonna sit up in your bed, mama, ah-heh, an' just a, grin right in yo' face.

And then I'm gonna eat up all your chocolates, (heh), 'n' say,
"I hope I'm not too late."

So, if there's any questions, make up your mind,
'cause you better give or take,

The question's in your mind, give or take.
You only got two hundred days.

Spoken: Play the blues, man, lookin' all around. Sure is dark in here.
'N' I'm lookin' out my belly button window,
an' I swear I ain't seen nothin' but a lotta frowns.

And I'm wond'rin' if they want me around.

Yeah man, Belly Button Window is great...

I don't think Hendrix would fail us at making a bitchen anthem.

Actually come to think of it I bet most of the bands could do something everyone would enjoy...

Ben Harper- Burn one down.

Let us burn one from end to end,
And pass it over to me my friend.
Burn it long, we'll burn it slow,
To light me up before I go.

excellent choice

There are too many good songs for there to be a single anthem. What we really need is a monthly anthem or something like that. Just my :twocents:

You can twist any song and consider it to be about pot.

"I've loved her, since I met her."

Marcy Playground - Sex and Candy?

haha, it's offbeat, and I like it. I could definitely hear that when I open up the site.

"I smell sex and...can-deeeee yeahhhh. Who's that loungin'..."

See, it mentions the oh so popular Lounge! Come on!

I got it! The alltime perfect theme song for what the ideal cannabis.com is to me:

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird

Damn, damn, I just downloaded the 100 greatest guitar solos and this should be number 1. It's number 3 though. Stairway to heaven is number one and number 2 is Van Halen - Eruption.

i agree, or manu chau: cannabis. even tho i dont know a word of spanish, if you are high, you wont have to know spanish to find the song humorous.
