View Full Version : day 15 of flower
I took these pics last night they were on day 15 of flower, now I'm just kinda wondering since this is my first grow for this long into flowering are these buds "average" size ?? I'm working on getting the "actual name" of the strain when I got the clones from a friend he just said "purple kush" and it was a big yielder, so I don't know anything else about the plants....thanks I'm just curious to see if these are just average size buds...:pimp:

yes, those look quite good for 15 days, when they get around 30 days, they will really take off ... be sure to keep the nitrogen out, and use your Bloom type nutes now, no nutes last couple weeks ... :smokin:
hey thanks...
I started Bloom nutes on day 8
basicly this is a total Foxfarm grow : ocean forest soil, Grow Big during veg, Tiger Bloom & Big Bloom for flower....

Thats quite a jungle. Nice!
I think those buds will be fat from the look of the plant structure.
It looks like it will fill in all the way up pretty much.
And if it is Purple Kush you will be very happy.
Especially if you bring the temp. Down to the low 50's in the last few weeks of flowering.Kind of hard this time of year.
But your buds would be Purple. They might be a little anyway.

Looks about right to me. Keep it up.
thanks all....
I just talked to the guy I got my clones from and he said that it's " Purple Super Kush " and that the buds should be a nice purple color !!!
as for the temp well it would just mean adjusting the AC thermostat alittle...when I built the room I got a large AC unit (1200 BTU) and "hard" mounted it into the wall then I built a controler for it that runs off a programable thermostat so I can keep the day and night time temps where I want them....so for the lower temp is that constant or just at there night time ??

Cool avitar.

I don't have a big room and an AC, but I don't see why you would need different temp settings. Why not just have the AC come on if the room gets too hot? I don't know, maybe 88F. Mine do just fine going up to 95 at times. Or is there something I'm not understanding?
I'm pretty sure purple kush will give you purple buds no matter what temp they are at night or any other time. I don't know what bringing the temp down the last few weeks will do other then slow down their metabolism. I suppose it would simulate the outdoors, but why slow them down if you don't have to. I've never heard of doing this intentionally, but I've only been growing a few years.
opie I run my AC set at 78 deg during the light on time and then when lights are of it is at 73 deg....I was told that they like that cooler temp at "night" that is why I have it set up like it is, that way it is ALWAYS consistent. reguardless of the temp outside the room...
yea,I've not heard the cooler temp = the color change before, but I have heard that the cooler temp will change the "tightness" of the bud...or something like that...

I have read the absolute perfect temp for most strains is "76". I have also heard that a couple of degrees shift @ night will not harm.
Great looking grow.....I hope my first (current) will be this productive!
