Hey I'm kinda bored and looking for something good to read, it doesnt necesarily have to be a stoner book but a good one would be cool. I've read lots of Hunter S. Thompson's collection but I was wondering if there were any more really good books I should know about. Thx

There's this dude's stuff http://www.lulu.com/newport
He's a stoner and a fan of HST, Bukowski, Vonnegut, and Phil Hendrie.
I ordered his books one at a time and each arrived in a week.
They are easy to read and some of the chapters are hilarious because the dude just explodes with amazing venom and vitriol. And then the chapters about why we exist and what happens after death really strike me curious and make me smile with a raised eyebrow. There's no one else like him. Can't praise him enough.
If that don't float your boat then check out Post Office by Charles Bukowski.
Or Slaughterhouse-5 by Kurt Vonnegut.
Or Catch-22 by Joseph Heller.
Mind you, those aren't written by stoners nor are they about stoners, but I've never known a stoner who didn't like them. Classics.

It's cool thoug cus he's from Raleigh NC and he describes it in the book. Actually its funny his old house was less than a mile away from me.

Or you could try:
The Grail Quest Series
Vagabond by Bernard Cornwell
The Archer's Tale by Bernard Cornwell
Heretic by Bernard Cornwell
That 3 book series is a very good read and would even make a great movie if they don't mess it up. Bernard Cornwell has done a great job with the stories.
