Effects on asthma?

Sup yall,

I was wondering if anyonwe here knew anything about the effects of cannabis on asthma. I am an asthma patient (with quite severe asthma, at that) and am also a moderate user of cannabis. I personally notice for about a week after a joint my asthma seems a bit less active. I am already on several meds for asthma (singulair, flovent, albuterol). MJ however does seem to help quite a bit along with these.

What I am really curious about is whether or not anyone here has any sources on the studies of cannabis effects on asthma? I realize other studies suggest in favor of cannabis being harmless (such as the recent cannabis study in California pertaining to lung cancer). However, I would be interested to know what the studies have found. Thanks.

Lots of folks on here will tell you how helpful weed is for asthma and even have links to studies to back that up, but that's not the case for me. It's been rough on mine, no matter how high the quality of what I smoke. I probably need to take it in some other form, but basically what I've done is stop smoking. Glad it's been helpful in your case, however! There's apparently a lot of evidence that it can be. I just know that that's not always true.
