Ok so me being a comic fan (:o ) i thought i'd ask who your heroes are and why...

It doesnt have to be a comic character, it could be your mum, dad, sis, bro whatever, some one who has influenced your life..

and seein as its my thread i'll start, and i know i'll get flamed for this, but oh well... :D

My Hero is Spiderman lol :o

why... because no matter what he has to deal with in his life he is always looking out for the interests and safety of others, yes i know he isn't real but that doesnt mean that what he stands for isn't real.. the saying that influenced his life is "with great power, comes great responsibility".. and i hold that statement to be true.. your great power is your life, and your great responsibilty is to use that life to do the right thing, to give it your all no matter what you do, similar to the statement in my sig "The only triumph for evil is for good people to do nothing."

I know it may seem a bit sad to some people for my hero to be a fictional character, but the bottom line is i don't really care :p The character may be fictional, but the morals he stands for are very real.

So.... Who Is Your Hero and Why? :)

P.S. you may now flame :D

As far as fictional characters i would have to say spiderman. Just cause hes an all around good guy always looking out for people. Batman on the other hand is still good but just too evil to be much of a super hero. It seems as if he wants to seek revenge on criminals because of what happened to his parents.

As for real life, i would have to say alex jones. That guy is really brave and i believe hes risking a lot doing what he does to serve the people of america.

hmmm i just had a thought, at 4 am lol, not stoned.... it seems to me that this board, or rather the ppl here remind me of the x-men... we all have our own unique strengths and weaknesses and are drawn together from all over the world because of a common interest... think about it ;)

Peace

I have a couple of heroes. My dad, because he's a smart, gentle, kind man whom I respect and love. And my sister, who has courageously faced cancer and chemotherapy with a grace and bravery that I'm not sure anyone else could muster.

And I really admire former President Jimmy Carter, who is a great humanitarian, always working for the greater good and health of the world's people.

I think that Neil Peart qualifies as my hero.

The guy used to ride his bike when the rest of the band would take the bus, from S.F. to L.A.

He's climbed mountains, all over the World. He's won drum competitions all over the World.

And, he's a living legend.
