Right now I have a 4 day old seedling in a 4in pot in my windowsil im not sure what kind of soil its in but its very light and has sponge rocks in it
A plant grows best at 75-80F but it wont do any harm, i mean, they are grown on the equator.
Plants can go a few days without water.
Now, read the faqs cos that way you havnt got to ask questions that have already been answered

Hi mr. thirst quencher!
GOOD luck, most indoor grows that use natural light end up not getting long enough daylight for healthy vegatative growth... 18+ hours
and they usualy stretch because the intensity is not adequate...
You could use CFL's and supplement it with natural light...

OMG how are you gonna grow when you have not done a lick of research....LIP told you what you need to know...SEARCH BUTTON. And Garden Knowm told you what lights to use CFL's. Leave them under those for 18+ hours and have the lights about and 1inch away. Every question you have, i promise someone else has aksed it also....just look around, good luck

at 90 degrees the temperature CAN affect your plant's abilitiy to process photosynthesis.
100+ is a little too warm for a seedling in my opinion, it's definitely possible to grow it in that climate, but you may stress the poor little girl out.

Garden Knowm

you can use the tube lights.. keep them as close as possible... yuo can go 5 days without watering a mature plant.. no problem.. just make sure you saturate the soil before you leave.. with at least 1/2 gallon of water... and leave any water that builds up in the catch tray.. do not drain it or pour it out..
love IS NOW..

I also have a camping lantern with the same sort of light in it, should I use that instead I could probally get that light 1in away from the plant:) what do you think?:)

06-10-2006, 02:30 PM
how old/big are these plants? how big are your pots?
the leafs you are talking about browning, this is normal after a few weeks
knowm is right on about the 5 days, only if your pots are 8in or bigger.
and the temps are down.at 90 degrees and direct sun, 5days is streching it.
good luck.

now i understand how the growers feel, at least do a little research before asking the same questions that has been asked a thousand times. after doing research if you still don't understand then ask.

Calm down and take a breath man you are stressing out about
this way to much. Those vibes can not be good for any form
of life.
The water leafs will die off it is natural, 20-20-20 for veg. stage
don't burn them up with it though.
ps. those pics are not there
