I found some good spots around my house, good soil too. Since I'm living in someone else's place for the summer, I don't feel right growing the seedlings in the house, so I plan to germinate the seeds (bagseed) then plant them directly in the loosened soil outside. Maybe if it doesn't rain real hard they might survive.

Any thoughts or tips are appreciated. How deep should the seeds go? I keep seeing conflicting info on whether the see goes point up or point down. Maybe it doesn't matter.

Becareful growing around your house... Make sure no one will see it except you. To start them put them in a folded paper towel and put them on a plate and keep the towel moist at all times. after a couple day a little white root will pop out of the pointy side. Plant the root (pointy end) down about 3 millimeters to half a inch under loose soil.
