Hi,

Just a few questions, i am a complete novice.

Gonna start a grow using NFT.

1. Am gonna buy budget kit from Growell.co.uk, includes 250 w hobby bulb, is this bulb good enough for 2-4 plants?JK
What sort of yield would each plant produce?

2. Gonna grow in a Growell Grow Tent 1m x 1m x 2m, Do you recommend any ventilation products to help with heat distribution?

3. What are the best seeds to start off using NFT?
Where do you recommend i buy genuine female seeds?

4. Anyone got any small NFT setup pictures i could have a look at to get ideas?

Anyway's off to the market now to get some blunt wraps.

some fella grew 12 ice plants in a growell tent using an nft system in a different thread with pictures...he used a 400 watt hps and ended up with 18 ounces from 12 plants which sounds good to me...think its in the indoor grow section but im not 2 sure mate

Well there is good news and bad news. Good news is, You can learn lots with a small NFT system. Bad news is things can get cumbersome when you want to move your tray around to get a different view.

I bought one of those 250W 22L NFT systems a few years back and that was how I first leaned to grow. It isn't easy, but If you get good advice early on it helps. Expect to be amazed and also expect to be disappointed.

Two pals recently grew 3 plants (in soil tho) using a tent of some sort and yeiled a total of 15OZ which is around 5OZ per plant dry weight. Their plants were huge and it was their first attempt.

I'll post a couple pics, once i reboot with my other HDD plugged in

First Image is of the shell of the Early enclosure that we constucted out of timber. It was Pentagonal shaped and the NFT system fit just right in the floor area. Other images show 2 x Shiva Shanti II from seed over the course of time. One of the plants became a DUDE and had to be executed. We didn't use a Truncheon to measure EEC or PPM and most effort was guess work. The 2 plants went through over fertilizing, under fertilizing, air starvation, too much temperature variation etc. Those things happen during the first couple grows. I can't remember if we actually got a harvest or if the crop got fucked but it was an experience.

Those are images of part of the air flow configuration for the re built grow area. There is a (TD-160) 4" or 6" inline extractor that sucked in; and there was a (TD-500?) 8" one that sucked out. They never came on at the same time and were controlled with a digital thermostat from Maplin. There was a 6" or 8" normal fan suspended from the ceiling space to move the air around. The air flow was sweet and the total volume of the area was around 3-4 cubic meter i think!. The Area was sealed and had cut outs for ducting. No smell filters we included in the design. Altho I've took all my equipment out the construction It still stands and is very very sturdy. That was all in someone's loft space... Pics are a bit poop actually..!

I seems to have Diarrhea (http://www.google.co.uk/url?q=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diarrhea&revid=1918524733&sa=X&oi=revisions_inline&ct=result&cd=2) over this thread... These images are; the same 20L NFT tray with 5 x G-13 clones on it in a new home but failed after a couple weeks due to not enough attention, theres a dual-flow NFT hydro setup with 36 x G-13 clones on it in a different home but that failed too due to chronic over watering (the return holes got jammed and the system trays flooded). And the final image is of the matrix display you might see on a police vehicle. You will see those red and blue lights outside your house if you don't take pride in your work mwahahahaahha!
