BC Smoke Shop in Houston (on Westheimer). Favorite place for all my glass pipes. They had a Darby headpiece in awhile ago that sold for over $1000. Full lines of PHx, ROOR, and Blue Dot. Bought $700 worth of glass from them in the past year, don't even bother shopping anywhere else anymore.

Nice to officially meet you, too, Onward. You wrote me on my first or second day on here to see if I'd had any luck with a connection. That was in the old days when connection talk was still the standard.

Hey! And I meant to tell you that that was a tremendously nice thing you did for your friend who's sick--the gesture for his family and kids.

I remember writing, just not that you lived so close. Of course, my rememberer isn't what it used to be....:(

Thanks for the kind word. It's hard having a friend go through this, as you well know. I can't imagine how their children deal with it. At least they get to have some really good memories together if nothing else. As a matter of fact, my friend said they are at Six Flags today. He invited me, but my wife really wants to see that new movie The Breakup, so that's where we're headed in a few minutes....ah, the joys of parking at the mall on a Saturday.

Have a wonderful day!

I just went up to the Gas Pipe at 190 and Marsh and I picked up a nice little bong and some of those flavored papers.

They were very helpful even though I had to ask alot of questions.

It is very close to my home; I had no Idea I had a head shop so close.

Just hit that new bong......Holy Shit!:rasta:

woohoo, kickass with the new bonger.i do have a bad report about the gaspipe on forrest lane in north dallas.they ain't the nicest folks in that place.I 've had morethan one bad experience there with the"don't say the wrong thing"dickheads that work there.they smoke ciggarettes in your face while your trying to shop(nasty asses).and last weekend I went there with my wife and asked to see a color changer.like 28.00, no big purchase.and the dude said we couldn't hold it in our own hands before we decided if we wanted to buy it.done.won't be back.I've been known to drop several hundred at the right store at the right time.I'll go elsewhere now.the folks at the gaspipe in north dallas make the decision easy

I went to the gas pipe in Arlington on Collins about two weeks ago. The staff there has always been real helpful. I bought a little wood and metal one hitter that doesn't look like a regular pipe and it closes to cover the bowl. Fits in my pocket. Guy was real helpful. I was looking at something else and he suggested the one I bought even though it was cheaper.

Man I can relate to that thc.. I went to high times in houston a couple weeks ago and it use to be a real cool place but I had not been there in like 6 years (I moved to another state).. when I went back this time (yea.. i moved back to the greatest state ever!) it was a totally different atmosphere. Much of the area that use to have "tobacco water pipes" is now whatever the PC term for a crack pipe is.. and the employees who use to be cool just treated me like crap.. and I was dressed far nicer than I use to dress when I went there, and I had a couple hundred bucks in cash in my pocket I wanted to spend.. I left the store and the only thing I bought was a copy of "high times" the magazine and I almost wish had not got that (you could tell it had been read a few times before I bought it)..

Yea, I think I will go ahead and take another 6 years off from that place. :)

I've been treated extremely well at the pipe on Collins in Arlington for almost 20 years. But the one on Skillman leaves a LOT to be desired. There is one black man who worked there, and may still, who has always been very nice and cordial and helpful. But there is a middle aged white guy, who may be the manager, who is a real jerk. I've been in there when he's so wasted he couldn't even open the cash register or count change. Once he just said "f*** it" and walked away when he owed me change. He went and had some kid come over to count out my change. I could have lied and said I gave him a big bill, because the older dude had no idea what was going on. Once I was checking out and two young guys came in and he just told them to get the f*** out because he was sick of punks. They were definitely of legal age, but I guess the way they dressed was offensive to him. The guys at the Collins store told me that they hear a lot of complaints about him.

Recently went into the Gaspipe on Maple. Always have had a good experience there.
I needed a rubber gromet for my bong and was politely told to say waterpipe. Always knew you couldn't use a phrase like "in order to smoke pot". Never knew saying bong was a no no.

Sorry, Onward it's been awhile since I've been back over here,............. Man, I loved the ZEW., And No, They don't compare, I think it was largely the time, and the music. The DJ's definitely had it goin'. I still have a ZZ Top promotional puzzle of one of there album covers, In my closet. I won, when I was the right caller. Remember those?
Still has the K ZEW shipping label.......... I have to laugh.

There were no heads shops in Plano where I went to school, we drove to Greenville Rd. as I recall. Moved out of state, right out of high school. I didn't come back until mid 80's.

I could always list the puzzle on eBay, maybe some executive, previous ZEW Freak would spend big money, stranger things have happened on eBay. I can just see it. Some top exec. with a K ZEW search saved on "My eBay".

Good to hear from you onward, when work settles down in the fall, I'd like to catch up. Hope things are well.

new retro revolution huh? I'll have to check that out. If you're looking for rock bottom prices on a piece the place to go is Public Wholesale in shoppers alley on harry hines. It's near harry hines and denton drive and it can be hard to find because it is literally in an alley with a bunch of import stores. selection is a bit small, but they are cheap. It's definately the place to go if you just want pipe parts, because they will be the cheapest, at least in my experience. A standard sized downstem there was $3 last year.

I was at the mall yesterday and the Oddisee Shop is closed... :( There could be something cool coming there though, because the windows had black plastic with Indian headdresses on display stands... or maybe just a tobacconist...

I liked the oddisee shop because it was very clean and friendly, and for the longest time I just thought they sold posters and bumper stickers and incense... I even walked in and didn't notice the pipes. But then a friend took me to get my first piece... (I love you Blue!) And I was like "I didn't know this was a HEAD SHOP!!!" And everyone started freaking out, I think the parents and kids in the playground heard it, lol.

^^^ stoble I was just at that headshop. It's called Easy's Smoke Shop. They are HUGE!!! Full selection of PHIRE, whip-its, salvia, scales, loads and loads of glass. Prices seemed decent for the scales, they range between $35 and $45 on the lower end (MyWeigh axe etc.) Does anyone know what prices should be paid for scales? I have just been comparing to some different websites since they are few and far between in the brick-and-mortar world.

I just went to the one in McKinney by Target. It's called Smokin' Glassworks. They had a decent selection, one odd thing though, you have to show the guy an ID to go through a leather curtain to see the pipes... reminded me of a strip club or something. lol. They have a myspace under the name smokin_glassworks telling their sales and specials.

(Something I'd really like to do is learn lampworking, I just have to scrimp and save every penny right now to pay the bills though, lol) BTW, where Oddisee Shop used to be in Golden Triangle Mall, I was there earlier today and they had the curtains cracked open a bit. It was Indian Crafts. The sign said "Pottery, Kachina Dolls, Warbonnets and more... Straight from the Reservation to you!" It looked corny as all getout. Is Indian the PC term now? Cause that's the word they used...

damn, took me a long time to get back to this thread. Yeah, the planet K is pretty tiny, not too big of a glass selection. Gots all the other cool headshop shit though... I think they are supposed to be building one here.

A few weeks ago I did a google search on head shops, and got a hit from here. I went to the place in Plano on 75 that has that funky peace sign incorporated into its logo. Man, what a selection of stuff crammeed into that shop. Anyway, I bought a really nice medium size glass bong, lots of innovative features built into it, they have come a long way since I last had a glass (or plastic) bong. I also bought a special carrying case for it, padded, in case i drop it. I like that store, beats driving to the old Gas Pipe when I live in Plano just a few miles away. Is it me, or have the number of head shops incresed?

Hey I've got a guy who's underage, and he wanted to know if that "Rock N Roll" place sells to minors? I wouldn't know since I've never been there, and It would be really sketchy to go in there to ask "Hey do ya'll sell to minors?" and walk out since I don't need a new piece.
