Can you post a picture? Side lites may help instead of trimming of tying. 2-3 CFLs around the bottom.

This is just my opinion, but given the choice, I would not cut them. I have read that it could force it into survival mode if you go to heavy. Tying may be an option, but for $5-$7 per, you can go to Home Depot and pick up 2-4 clamp lights with metal domes... the bigger the better.

Get some CFLs and just clamp them down low and direct them up to the under branches. You may even be able to clamp them right to the pot itself.

They look like this:

Easy cheap way to light the lower parts of your plants.

I would LST them...topping I don't like .So I would bend it over a bit.
All you have to do is bend it down below the top and tye it down. Without breaking it. And continue to tye it down threw the stretch. Then let flower. This will increase your yield alot too.

A CFL (compact flourencent) There are plenty of write ups on here about them. People make recommendations, but go with what you can afford. Any light is better than none.

See here:

Jdog gives a good option as well, but that is tying the top of the plant down not just certain leaves... this also works for a lot of people on here!

Hi all,i bended some fan leaves out the way yesterday, and now all secondary leaves are on the light i gave them some nutes and sprayed them with water, i didn't tie them down and today plants look HUGE. Secondarys are long enough so i dint have to tie the leaves just bended them a litle and everything was ok. I'll post some pic's on sunday to see how are they going to be.

See you on sunday with some updates, probably will know are they girls, if not :( :( :( .

ya dude. Basically right now, u can follow ur stem up to the top of the plant. it goes straight up ::} After ur done tying it down, u will follow up from the stem again, this time the main stem will be curved and the top of the plant will be horrizontal.

All ur doing is manipulating the plant, so that more light hits other parts of plant. Look at my link in my sig. I did LST on 4 of mine. I have some decent pics there.

Jdog and stinkyplant have the right ideas here i man LST saves you the few dollars on a CFL and the hassle of going out but you can DEF just get 2-3 lights which on the conatiner will say 42W=150W outout 2600 lumens or somethinglike that, then you place them at different levels, they're pretty cool compared to other lights too so pick from these options

Well Jdog im doing the same thing and it makes me happy:) that you do it too. Im scared of everything reading these wonderfull posts, from people that know what are they doing. These plants are so sensitive, and i want to be careful, dont want to hurt my plants. Let's hope everything will be ok.
Can i spray them with water, cause as i have mentioned im on Flowering stage ???

Thanks for the options.

YOU MAKE ME RICHER EVERY DAY:thumbsup:

no don't spray them cause the water droplets will act like a mag glass and possibly burn your leaves

as long as you keep the soil moist then you shouldn't have a problem, i knwo some people say to spray but i've had problems as well as others that i've heard from around here. Plants look good though

I give them 1.5 liters of good ph balanced water every three days, they suck it all in. I give them nutes every 2 week's, thats every fifth watering. Thats the way they like it, so i think thats the best way. No spraying (wont risk).

Plants look good though
Thanks the pic's are about 4 days ago, but i had some problems with my cam so i couldnt post any more, i think they look much better now after taking those fan leaves out of the way, secondaries just poped out, and the plant's look much bigger and better.

Well i have everything covered in foil cause i cant paint it in white, and aluminium foil is the second best choice.... it reflects light 60-70 %, thats better than nothing
