Cook it in something fatty next time. Even just simmering it in butter and/or milk in a pan over an oven burner for a while will be enough preparation for it to get you high. Eating raw bud does not work (effectively, anyway). When someone says you have to cook it, they aren't doing it just to hear themselves speak. You basically wasted whatever bud you ate by eating it raw :/

I made a grilled cheese w/ weed sandwich before, not my best of ideas, while the smoke tastes good I couldn't handle the weed itself, and the butter prolly would have canceled out the THC anyhow :/ I'd think you need alot more weed to eat before you get high since when you inhale smoke, it goes from your lungs into your bloodstream but the THC would have to be absorbed from your stomach and might take longer/have lessened effect if you ate it. Also if you didn't eat it on an empty stomach the effect would probably be lessened even further.

Butter is actually an effective substance to use when you prepare pot to eat. If you want, you can just simmer an 1/8 with a few pads of butter and let it warm up on a stove and that would be all you need to do to have pot that is ready to eat and that will get you high.

I am unclear on whether or not your grilled cheese sandwich worked or not. I am guessing tthat it was not satisfactory from what you wrote. Cheese contains fatty oils and I have used it to cook pot in the past witth success. Perhaps you botched up when you prepared it or didn't use enough? Most of the failures I hear about from freinds can be traced to the fact that they did not prepare it correctly, ie, added pot to the concoction without heating the actualy pot itself in the recipe (meaning they add the pot AFTER everything is cooked, which is a step towards failure), or they simply did not use enough. When I use it to cook, I will use anywhere from 1/8 for a single serving of pot-buter to an ounce or more for cakes and brownies.

The basic principal is that anything high in fatty oils, ala butter, peanut butter, milk, etc, will make the THC soluable for your body to absorb.

It will take a while to digest and get you high, but when cooked right it will indeed get you high. The advantage is that all of the pot is used, and none is left to burn away into the attmosphere. Also, eating it is a way to avoid the free radicals and carcinogens given off when you burn the pot.

Raw buds are not the way to go, my friend.. your stomach needs help absorbing the THC!

As already suggested, use butter or oil, but for god sakes man - NO MORE EATING RAW NUGGETS!

I have a cannabis cookbook, if you need a copy - let me know.

Raw bud doesnt work. You need to cook it down. To get high from eating raw bud you'd need about 1/4 to a half.

I'd suggest making firecrackers, for your first time eating it. I just tried eating pot for the first time the other day, you can read the whole thing in my post called "eating five firecrackers", but incase you don't want to read all of it, all firecrackers are, is a cracker, with peanut butter, then you put your weed (I put about a good size bowl per cracker) mix it in with the peanut butter on the cracker using a knife, to get it all coated, then put peanut butter on another cracker and put it ontop. Then, wrap it in alluminum foil, and then either microwave for a minute or something, or bake it in a oven or toaster oven for about 15-20 minutes on 350 degrees F. I ate five of them, each with about the size of a bowl amount of pot. Within an hour, it kicked in, and it's totally different. It kind of reminded me of being drunk, at least my mind. I couldn't concentrate, but I was also extremely comfortable, and had my first lucid dream while under the influence of eating pot. Oh yeah, I also heard beautiful music in my head that I wasn't (conciously) controlling. It was really cool.
Best of luck, Peace,

There's a link right on this site with a lot good info: http://www.cannabis.com/usage/usage1part1.shtml

If it's prepared right, eating bud can be an incredible experience. But it also leaves some people with a "hangover."

why waste bud when smoking it gives the most high?.. I guess you could get high by eating it but if you smoked just as much I guarantee you would be exponentially more stoned.

I just started eating marijuana because I got bronchitis a little bit ago so there is one reason to eat marijuana not to get bronchitis from smoking it.
