a quality fan should be good for long extended use, but nowadays with all the Chinese crap on the market, who knows ? ... good question ... :smokin:

most of them say something like "rated for continuous duty"...
i think they'll just start to wear down a little, they'll become louder than usual after a while... if they die, they're cheap, $15 bucks at home depot.
I had an experience when I was a kid, the old old bathroom fan got left on (it was goin' on 15 years old) and at like 4am it over heated, melting the floor in the bathroom in a few spots and filling the house with smoke, the smoke detectors woke all of us up to that mess, make sure you have one near your grow area, or in it for that matter.
Scarrrrry.

I use a 65cfm bathroom extractor fan in my grow attached to PVC pipe, then attached to my carbon scrubber. Works like a champ. They're usually meant to be left on for long periods of time. I haven't had a problem.
