Whats up yall? I dont know if anyone remembers me from last season, but I'm back anyway. I dont know if it was Zandor or Latewood, or even someone else but some one had a nice and easy hydro setup consisting of a rubbermade bin and materials...if anyone has info, or would like to share with me what materials to use and where to stick 'em, I would be most greatful. I have all the materials needed(I think, anyway) due to my marine aquarium hobby, but I am not very good at building shit unless I have a plan to follow. Any help would be cool...pics would be a godsend!
Thanks for the help in advance.
P.S.
Latewood, Zandor, and everyone else...WHATS UP!! Its good to be back and see some familiar faces(well, you know what I mean)!!:D

OK I'll be the first. Man if your going to get a blueprint you need to let everyone know your space and size. Remember the more light the more bud. LOL.

well shit...I guess I forgot to mention that. The tub is a rubbermade 18gal tub with lid...any plans are workable, I can adjust. Im just not creative enough to come up with everything myself. If latewood reads this, he will prob know exactly what Im talkin about.:)

Definitely... that guy is a madman... I swear... he'd grow his kids hydro if he could!
lol !!! (love LW love! :D)
Search threads started by LateWood here in the hydro section... he has two or three FAQ-style threads... from nothing, to fully growing plants.
I really don't remember you, because I joined more or less September 2005... but hey man, welcome back!

Thanks for the welcome wagon turtle...yeah, latewood is a madman when it comes to home-made hydro. LW and I chatted about a year ago and he had a setup for cloning made out of a tote...thats what Im trying to get, really. It was really simple, and where Im at right now, simplicity is key! Im an outdoor grower, been for years, but this year it looks to be piss-poor for outdoor here(its still frickin cold at night, frost and shit...) so Im going to try hydro also. enough ramble, thanks turtle.

You use a 3.5 inch hole saw to make your cutouts with and the 3.75 inch screen pots fit in it perfectly. I'd find corners of lid, middle both ways, etc. Then I would draw as many criss crossing lines on it as possible to lay out my sites. Need a submersible pump, spray heads, pots, airstones, tubing hydroton, etc. If that tub is clear, paint it black or something on the outside. Want to keep light off yer roots.
LW is slick, he will be around and get ya started. But all I listed above I know he used in his setups. I read that post of his not long ago. He designed a very nice setup.

LW is most likely going to post you a link when he does answer. Why dont you type his name in the <search> box, and read all his posts you think might be revelant to what ya tryin to do? He might be outa town, or whatever. That way you do not wait for an ansswer, and your grow moves foward. Just tryin to help.

I'm here...what do you want to do?
do you just want to know how to make tub into bubbler?
Or do you want recycleable system, using that as rez.
Iwill look in subscriptions, and link back all that could help
I do have a blueprint posted, but it was hand drawn, scanned, and it was for a recirculating system.
If you just need hygro' directions, we can do that too.
ahlbe back...

This is an excerpt. read it and read my *sticky at Hydroponics page...In that plumbing/aero thread, I show how to make the tub with a common plastic sink drain...with hardware...Just replace ///the aero set-up///...w any method you want. Options;
DWC...for rez change open drain...keep extra tub under rez for spillabe control, and you can fill it with the fresh nutes each week...set tub in place, and switch over top/holding plant.
*http://boards.cannabis.com/showthread.php?t=34253
Recirculating-place drip lines in netpots...pump from rez. use 110-250gph submersible pump to drip through tub/drain system back to rez and start all over again.
give you something to think about...then ask what you will.
Let's have some fun building a system

///EXCERPT///bigger lights, bigger buds...I will post a thread this weekend with the directions for bubbler...it is for a cloning project that I have successfully completed, so to speak, but I showed how I put the system together, for all of you who don't have one...
meanwhile here is a shopping list, for each bubbler you want: 1st from wally's...
1-10 gallon/17qt. sterlite tote, as dark a color as possible...$3.50
1 aqua source dual airpump...$8.00
2 airstones or 5" bubble rails...$.88 or $3.00
and you might want one of those floating aquarium thermometers...about a buck
black plastic spray paint or duct tape black/2 wraps-gray/3 wraps to light-proof your res. $ 10.00 This keeps algae growth to a minimum...
tube of aquarium sealant(optional $5.00)
Now at hopot, you need;
black 1/4" airline...you might be able to find this in garden section of wally's with a sprinkler or drip system starter kit.$5-7.00
common plastic sink drain(optional) found in kitchen area, not plumbing. $5.00
from hydro supply you need; 12 netpots $5-7.00...hydroton $10.00...and a nutrient...I recommend AN or GH 3- part...about 25 bucks for the set, although there are good 1 part and 2 part programs out there...and liquid karma for all-in-one additive(optional) $20.00 a qt. or superthrive.. want to try AN's Iguana juice grow/bloom 1 part from Advanced Nutrients when I get the extra cash...I'll check back later and see if you have any more question's about this...lw
PS NOw there are options...think about it...Make a plan, and get back to me, alright...Good to see you back bro.:smokin: peace. lw
