"Did you know that Pat Robertson can leg-press 2000 pounds! How does he do it?"
from a prefessional body builders webpage...
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/shannon1.htm
"For me, personally, 495 pounds is nowhere near my best 10 rep squat, it's much higher! However I could easily perform a 10 rep leg press with the 700 pound load mentioned. To be sure I could quantify the two here, I performed a little experiment using data from my training logs.
I took the most recent data for each of these exercises for the same rep range and compared them. Doing this I found that, on average, my leg press poundage is 1.8 times that of my squat poundage for the same rep range. So, from the 700 pound example I should be able to squat 389 pounds."
he can lift almost 3 times as much as a pro... either that's a damn good shake or he is god himself in the flesh...
how do people actually believe this guy, nevertheless the shit that he is claiming is a religion...

From the million dollar offer website, StupidIdiots (http://www.reopen911.org/Contest.htm) - which, IMO, is in extremely bad taste:
"The first person to prove explosives were NOT used in all of the above with a full, detailed mathematical analysis covering all of the points above will receive $1,000,000. The proof will be subject to verification by a scientific panel of PHD engineers, physicists, and lawyers"
Notice that they left out professional architects as people who would verify the evidence. There is no "proof", only theory, because the only way it could be proven would be to re-enact the whole scene again, which is very unlikely to ever happen.
Funny, but it's been almost five years since the attack, and I have yet to meet a single person in NYC that thinks the government did it - and I work less than a mile from Ground Zero.

shelby it is not my site.. it is from 9/11truth.org... but they do offer a million...
don't mean to change this into a 9/11 thread, but don't they all...
http://www.911truth.org/article.php?story=20041026093059633
NEW YORK CITY, NY (Oct. 26, 2004) - An alliance of 100 prominent Americans and 40 family members of those killed on 9/11 today announced the release of the 911 Truth Statement, a call for immediate inquiry into evidence that suggests high-level government officials may have deliberately allowed the September 11th attacks to occur. The Statement supports an August 31st Zogby poll that found nearly 50% of New Yorkers believe the government had foreknowledge and "consciously failed to act," with 66% wanting a new 9/11 investigation.
how about 40 family members Breukelen?? and that was in 2004... i did a google search and found that in 2 minutes... maybe you don't have to live in New York anymore to find people there who believe the same thing you do??
but on the 2-4 there will be hundreds of thousands that you can meet and get information from (it's in chi town, but I'm sure there may be one or two new yorkers there..)

Ill take issue with this for sure.
If you worked less than a mile from the WTC your either someone in the finacial bussiness, a constuction worker, or a janitor, or a street vendor, or any other number of jobs that are either BOSS oriented or Servent oriented.
What you do for a liveing really doesnt matter much because the bottom line is you fall into either Rich or Poor catagory.
Not to mention your leaving out the third opinion MANY hold, and thats that they dont know what happened.
And that third opinion is a mother fucker.
I live in New York, I dug in rubble, I cut steel to uncover dead firemen and flattened Fire trucks, I passed stretchers with body bags on them with only body parts in them, I found a briefcase with someones lunch (peanutbutter and jelly) and their monthy bills in it.
For me it was all TOO real.
Dont pretend to yourself that none holds an opposing opinion, my guess is that your just in the wrong circles, and make no attempts to venture out of them.

Maybe its not wrong circles as much as different circles..Well all I can say is I am sorry for both of you for having to see that day..being Americans and having the freedoms we had I can't even imagine the changes that have taken place..just sorry for the suffering of innocent people. Americans need to pull together but thats not going to happen is it?

I am not saying that nobody has an opposing view, or are undecided - I just have not met anybody that thinks the United States government, not foreign terrorists, was responsible for the attack(s).

Breukelen..I know you were not physically affected but how about the thousands that did see it and its a mental issue? I mean..I watched just some parts of 9-11 and I just can't watch it again..its not only scary to me..it actually made me sick..how can people there not look at that place everyday and not be reminded? Or wonder if it will happen again? I just am glad I didn't see it close up..and when I said offend someone..I am saying that no matter my view on 9-11 when I know a person has close ties such as you..I would not want to inadvertently disrespect that day by saying something inappropriate because I didn't click a link before I "spoke"...and I have thought about how the victims families and friends feel reading about conspiracy theories..must go beyond hurt.

Shelby, I'd say that I had PTSD for at least a year - which triggered another medical condition that I only recently was diagnosed with - and I'm much better now.
It was especially upsetting to me when I'd pass the firehouse across from Ground Zero: I believe that most, if not all, of the firemen from there perished. Before 9/11, I used to see them almost every day.
I have Ground Zero pictures that were taken about a week or so after the attack, by a co-worker of my wife's that was allowed into a WTC complex building where they worked. I'll post them soon.
As far as the U.S. government's responsibility, all I think is that this should never have happened. I've mentioned before that I was across the street from the WTC in 1993 when it was bombed. That should have been a major wake-up call. That bomb was meant to bring the towers down. Additionally, the security of American airliners was horrendous.
If we're going to get involved with hotbeds of religous violence, nationalism and other controversies, it's only a matter of time until the extremists hit you at home. Of course, violence doesn't HAVE to happen - but when big money is involved, it's a lost cause.
I used to work in several WTC buildings, years ago. I still have my picture ID cards, including a special one from the NY Port Authority that gave me permission to enter during nights and weekends.

Maybe you can explain this then..in 93..there were no questions about our Government then..why this campaign of hate now? I would think more toward conspiracy in 93 than 2001,considering bombs were used. I hope I am making sense..what I am saying is this..if our Government wanted this to happen and could have prevented it..then with that much power and secrecy why not something more in line like 93 than all of this with the planes? I don't believe our Government did it..no way..but I do agree that this should not have happened..especially after 93..and once again..I have a very different outlook on this than when I first joined..I travel to Albany..right at the port sometimes just to eat at a certain rest. lol..but I never asked the natives about that day..guess that is why I feel safer doing it here..anyways..I really appreciate you sharing that day..it does help open my mind when someone can tell me a viewpoint when they have been there and done it so to speak..so thank you...and I also learned not to call people Nazis..:) Not a nice word to be tossing around at all.:) Oh..and glad you were smart enough to seek treatment..and that it helped.
