yeah dude. i think i've seen them 3 times in concert now. one time, they said they were completely tired of playing all of their normal songs, and they just improvised on stage for about 90 minutes. it was crazy

yeah a friend of mine told me they did the same kind of thing, im seeing them in october with the red hot chili peppers in NJ. going to be a crazy night

I'm seeing them with the RHCPs in Portland when they open thier US Tour... I'm soo fucking stoked for that show.

Yeah they are awesome. They are just so different from any other band ive ever heard.

U gotta be fucking joking. You can't listen to one of their songs, you have to listen to De-Loused In The Comatorium and tell me these guys don't kick ass.

Personally I like ATDI way better, but Mars Volta kicks ass.

Completely agree..i listened to Rascuache from Vaya 1 night and became an instant fan of ATDI & the Mars Volta ...unfortunately i didn't really like Frances the Mute..:(

Must agree with you guys that the Mars Volta rock the house. But ATDI wasn't better. They had more complex vocals (with more singers and hence more harmonies), but the sound was a lot more unrefined. I like ATDI, and I like the Mars Volta. But I think the Mars Volta has a much more refined sound, and that's why I like them more. My favorite song is "Cassandra Gemini" (all of the parts!).
