i got my cat stoned... but i did it the right way.. just throw your cat inside your pillowcase with the pillow still in it.. a very tight fit.. close the opening .. take your hit.. open it .. blow your hit in the pillowcase with the cat.. close it.. 10 hits later of that dank chronic, let the cat out ( after every hit make sure you give the cat some air by fanning the pillowcase )
go toke up

It's called animal cruelty. Too many people don't respect their pets and therfore should not be owners. An animal is locked to follow their god given instincts and getting an animal high can ruin their psyckee. Anyways. Cats get hig on catmintplants. Respect!!!

Yeah, I always blew hits in my pets' faces. And it was funny. And we laughed.
Then, I realized, they weren't stoned at all.
"HA! HE'S JUST SITTING THERE!"
He's a cat. They do that. Blowing smoke in it's face just makes him squint.
I couldn't do the pillowcase thing. That ain't right. Cats are claustrophobic. What I would do, is leave out a paper bag on it's side. You KNOW it'll go in. Then, when it's in, on it's own free will, you blow the hit in and close it for a few seconds. That way, it'll think it's a game, not you trying to hurt it.
Then, when it's high, it'll still wanna hang out with you. Not stay on the other side of the room and keep an eye on you.

i'd say only "force" your dog to get high the first time, cuz he doesn't know what it is and all and you can't describe it him so he can make up his own mind.. but yea, get him high, and if he likes it, i'm sure he'll pick up on it and "ask" for it next time so to speak... if not, then he obviously doesn't want it, and just like it's a human's choice, it should (if anything) be the same, and be the animals choice whether or not they want their body/mind affected like that..

WE are intelligent enough to make our own choices. Animals/pets aren't. Would you get your kicks by getting a baby stoned?

Forcing an animal of any kind to get high is abuse plain and simple. Like Psycho4Bud said you wouldn't do that to a baby, why the hell would one do that to an innocent animal that has no choice. Now if the animal seems to want to get high, one still should be responsible to keep it under control. What if the baby seemed to enjoy it while one is smoking? Would it be a good thing to laugh at it and say cool look it's high??? I think not. Now I have had quite a few rats that would grab the bud off my tray and run off with it. They really seemed to like the stems. I woulld give them a stem or two once in awhile. As far as I know that never hurt them.:stoned:

I got my cat stoned one time.
I set my bong down and he came up sniffing at it while there was still smoke comeing off of the bud I had packed.
He hit the cat food and then crashed for the night. After that he was my best buddy. ;)

A VET says he sees more than a dozen stoned cats and dogs a year because negligent owners feed their pets cannabis cookies and cake.
But the only thing to do for the dazed, confused and disoriented pets was to let them sleep off the drug, said Dr Neil Howard. Pets affected by the drug had been taken to Dr Howard's veterinary surgeries in the coastal towns of Torquay, Anglesea and Lorne, for the past 10 years.
The biggest problem was people deliberately feeding their dogs cannabis cakes and cookies, he said, although small dogs and cats could become stoned just by inhaling marijuana smoke.
"A lot of it is deliberate drugging by people making cannabis cookies and cake and giving some to their pets thinking it will be OK for the animal to eat it," he said.
"But what people don't seem to realise is that it's not good for the dog and it doesn't enjoy it, so don't do it. It's not a malicious or cruel thing people are doing to their pets.
"In some cases a parent comes home and finds their teenage son or daughter has fed the animal marijuana and brings it in to the surgery."
Dr Howard said although the animals were not in any pain as a result of the drug, they could be in danger because of their dazed and confused state of mind.
"As is often the case down here, people take their dogs for walks on cliff tops and if a dog is stoned and is let off the lead, it could be in danger of falling off a cliff," he said.
"There is nothing we can give them, they just need to sleep it off. Most people who bring their pets are ashamed of themselves because it's not a malicious thing they have done, it's usually just meant to be playful."
But Dr Howard said the problem was too widespread to report to police or the RSPCA. "It's not a welfare issue," he said.
It was not isolated to Victoria's Surf Coast.

I think its FUCKED up to stone your dog or cat. I mean c'mon they just are happy to be living everyday, and dont need any mind altering substances. Also they are only a few pounds compared to a copule hundred for me. Dont get your pets stoned..thats mean...they will freak out....EVER hear of panic attacks? Well fucking pets would get that. People are fucking stupid and need to take responsiblility for their beloved pets. I love my dogs and they will never get stoned...They are just happy to be living and for me to pet them :)

The Deer, or whatever they were, up in the mountains of Asia, eat Cannabis. It appears that non-speaking animals crave mind-changes just as much as speaking animals.

I think it all depends. For instance, my dog Lundy just sits in our yard all day while the family is away at school and work. Lundy does nothing all day, plaion and simple. We all feel bad for her, but we don't have much spare time. I did take her on a walk today however. Anyways, Lundy is somewhat aged and has very stiff joints all the time. Her meds don't help. When I get her stoned, she just lays down and chills... she also seems to be much more agile- she becomes much more healthy. I think weed is good for animals under certain circumstances.

According to Veterinary State Board Questions and Answers by V.G. Kimball, published in 1917:
What anesthetics are commonly employed in major operations and minor operations on (a) the horse, and (b) the dog?
Answer:
(a) Major: chloroform, chloral hydrate, cannabis indica. Minor: cocaine hydrochlorate, stovaine, and alypin. (b) Major: ether and morphine. Minor: cocaine hydrochlorate and stovain.
Cannabis was recommended by a state board for major veterinary surgery!
Cannabis is not harmful to animals either. I let my dog lick the bowl of brownie mix once. He got stoned, droopy eyelids and all. He partially lost control of his back legs and had trouble walking. There was definitely an anesthetic effect. He took a nap and was fine.
I've seen that horses, deer, and skunks are all naturally attracted to flowering cannabis plants. You'll find cannabis listed as a poison to animals and humans only after "marijuana" prohibition.

i only get him high when his legs are hurting or has muscle spasms. he is old and has a poor circulation is has back legs. they swell and get very painful and twitch a lot. i find thta of all the medications that he is on, good old fashioned pot works the fastest and has the fewest side effects. (one of his meds gives him REALLY bad gas)

Lmao, I don't have to put my cat in a pillowcase. EVERY time I get my weed out, he just shows up. I'll exhale into his face, and he stares at me while I do it too. His eyes flutter like he doesn't like it, but his nose twitches so I know he's breathing. He'll go away for about five minutes and live it, come back and nuzzle up against my hand with the bowl in it.

I've accidentally exhaled straight into my cats' faces before now, and they don't like it, but I'm guessing that was more to do with the fact that I was blowing straight at them than the fact I was blowing pot smoke their way. Normally if I'm smoking they don't mind, and come and curl up on my lap. I'ver never tried to get them stoned, but if they wanna come into the living room while we're all hot boxing the place that's up to them... they can always ask to go out again!

You should give the cats catnip. They get loopy and they get addicted so don't over do it.

I've given 'em catnip before, and they utterly spazzed out - just went tearing round the flat, over us, the furniture and, most worryingly, over stuff that breaks. So, not trying that again.

I've gotten my hamster high. I'd take a hit, blow it into his cage using a straw. I've got him trained to where he comes up to the bars, and actually waits for the hit. He closes his eyes and opens his mouth, and as soon as the smoke starts hitting him he starts doing this little rodent sniffing thing. Booya for stoner pets.
be aware you may want to change the method after reading this......on cannabis.com's factoid they posted, "THC is absorbed by the lungs almost instantly."

My last dog (a king charles spaniel) loved to get high. Obviously the first time he did wasn't out of choice but he was next to me on the sofa anyway so i just blew a few puffs in his face. After that he used to come sit on my lap with his face right where the smoke would drift and look at me with his "i want some of that" eyes.
He died three years agao though. I have a new dog (yorkshire terrier) but i think he's too small so he wont get to expirience it.

feeding bud may be a more reliable and controlled method.
My dog would eagerly eat bud but would run away and bark if anyone was smoking

i always smoke my cat out. then she will lie in my lap and purr, with her eyes glassy, not moving at all.. i think that if you get your animal stoned, and they react positively to it, then why not? it ain't frying their brains; just don't force them to do it. my cat likes the smell of marijuana. i would personally recommend giving the animal a vaporizor hit as opposed to blowing smoke in their ears; less chance of ear infection or anything else which smoking might induce.
if your animal freaks out then don't give it anymore drugs..
