Ok its me again had to start over, i have the seeds germing in rapid rooters soaked in superthrive. this grow will be straight soil, no messing around with hydro to soil shit. now i have 2 of my favorate seeds. big bud and white russian, now the ice2000 was growing amazingly and the ai was right behind it. so i picked the best seeds to grow on this go around.

mobay have u tried coconut fibre as ur medium , i use it with clay pebbles but u could use perlite as well, the + points about coco fibre is that its has a neutral ph to start with , plus it is light and airy allowing alot of oxygen to get to the roots . i, as u well know have just set up a new grow set up , and i was going to get myself a hydro system but after reading the pro's and cons and seeing the result i was getting from the coco fibre i opted to ditch the hydro plans and just use the hydro feeds instead and feed them every time i watered . and it seems to be workin a treat .

ok everyone here is the update one the plants. ice2000 and white russian after 2 days of germing in the rapid rooters are up and doing well under 125w cool flo light now. the other 2 lazy bitches are taking there time, sleepy heads. dont know about the big bud seed had it for along time and didnt store it well when i was done with them. but the ai has broke its shell just waiting to put her under the light.

But now that im back its seems that i am learning a lot more good info and seeing a lot cooler grows. I cannot wait to see these plants in action. I am also happy to see you doing a soil grow.....for i myself LOVE SOIL. The reason for that is this is my first Successful attempt indoors because the usual...u know..get busted by parents thing....but i was always very good at growing outdoors. I would always grow 100% organic outdoors. My current grow has tought me a lot because i am using chemical nutes. But i just wanted to see their effects for once. I justed lokked up the pics of your strains....nice....and yes i agree with Shallow Hal....ice2000 is not a very good yeilder....BUT(keyword here).....the potency, taste, and wonderfulness of this strain makes up for it. McNasty ty for your post there, i use fox farm nutes all organic, dont have to worry about flushing with fox farm, use nutes up to day of harvest time. yeah iam starting to get into this soil grow method. as i read alittle more on the fox farm products. ice2000 and white russian will be growing until they are 6 inches in fox farm light warrior, then i will be trans planting them into fox farm potting soil. hydroponics man told me that is the best way. just planting in the soil would be hard at 1st on them, but i didnt have a problem when i did it with the white russian last grow. but iam here to learn as well. so i will try it this way and see how it works. glad to see your posting again. postman whats up bro.

As u know im using foxfarms ocean soil. grow big,big bloom, and tiger bloom.

i spoke to the owner of the hydro shop i go to and he said that using all of the fox farm soil and nutes that you dont have to flush , because its all organic. i use all the fox farm items you use bob. i asked him 2 different times about flushing and each time same answer, dont need to flush :thumbsup:

ok iam gonna bring my nebula grow over to this forum here. summer is here and the reason i said that is cause, it was 87 degrees today and even hotter in my attic with the lights out. so i came to 1 conclusion today . put an a/c in the grow box. the ac is set on 72 now, room reading 78.6 with the lights on :dance:

ok if there is anyone else that is having heat problems in the attic or in their grow areas, lowes has portable a/c unit now. 8,000 or 10,000 btu ones, with the exhaust hose that attaches to the window. go get them before they run out :)

man it was hot as hell today, outside temps 91 degrees now. attic temps 116 now, and in my grow box is 75.4 degrees. i should have had this set up a long time ago, and maybe the ice2000 would have been alright.

Dude I use a similar ac. And it makes a huge difference.
Between that and the vented hood. It's perfect. Even when it's over 100 outside. My ac is 8000 btu's.I wish I could have found one with an exhaust like yours.

trivium yes they still have the units at home depot, the best thing about this unit is that its only 13in x 18in, small enough not to take up alot of space, 5000btu's, energy saver the best 124 dollars i spent this summer :D

hydro is excellent, but gg23 if your growing in the attic, hauling gallons of water up and down a ladder will be hell. but if you have a set up to get the water up and down that would work out fine. subpump would do , on the christmas grow iam doing hydro, have to put things in order for now, if i should grow outside in the shed or in the attic.

ok the nebula showed her sex a couple of days ago. so i gave her nutes yesterday to get in her system , so i could tie her down. after tieing her down i now have 13 bud sites that are getting light now. she's a short bushy bitch, but the facts say she will have large buds for her height, cant wait.

Hey Mobay i am in the attic right now cause i started a seed at school over a break and it just so happened to start growing, ha ha and now that it actually lived over the months to get to the flowering stage i had to keep it going so the attic was the next best place for me. I've been thinking of hydro lately. But I want to stay with organics. And I was considering the use of Grow Big for veg...and Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom for flowering. Plus superthrive.

those are the only 4 product that i use, the ones you mentioned. also i forgot to mention was , iam using 3- 3gallon pots and 1 4 gallon pot, and someone was asking about what could you use to make the water drain better. well i picked up some window screen and cut to fit the bottom of my plant pots , and after i finished watering my plants lastnight, water was the only thing that drained, no soil, just the water. and that also will keep the roots from growing out of the holes as well.

nearly there bro.having some bad times hear bro.anyway have added some buffalo soldier i got for you pk.got them from a freind he claims they are jamaican strain so i passed them over to you .will be with you soon bro.the queen reveg is stared sprouting so im going to do a outdoor veg indoor flower thread ,starting from the reveg for clones.i have the queen ,nebula,aurora indica, and wr all revegging i took the best pheno type from each strain so i could reveg them for clones and i have germed 2 wr queen crosses to get me by to the xmas grow. anyway i have to get back in the car for another 4 hour drive so i will try get a hold of you when im there mate you keep up the good work mate.the postman.

ok the nubula is looking real good up there today. gave nutes yesterday. the cfl lights are doing a good job on this plant. have been watering this plant every other day, she can drink some water up. one thing that i have put in the bottom of my pots now, is some window screen. when i feed the plants now, only water comes out , no dirt, excellent drainage way. also roots wont be coming through the holes that are at the bottom of the pots.
also i have this ice2000 plant in on 12/12 now. early forcing this plant to get some clones off of it. keep the stress levels down this go around, so it should turn female.
this may be my last soil grow people, want to start my hydro growing back up. reason is , is that after growing the white russian she didnt yield me that much. and growing this nebula, i dont know if she will yield me that much. i have been spoiled by the big bud plant. so when the nebula clones start rooting, and the ice2000 can be cloned , they will be going into hydro.

thanks bob, i keep moving the main cola into different screen holes to let the other sites catch up. never grew the strain before, so on the trich's i dont know, have to do some checking up on this strain.

Hey Mobay.
I wouldn't listen to the hydro guy.
I would still flush for 2 weeks. It does make a tiny differnce.
Plus FoxFarm isn't totally organic is it?
I always was told by the hydro shop that it is organic based.
But there are some chems in it...not much.
Check it out.
They aren't approved by the organic org.
The Big Bloom is the only totally Organic nutrients from Foxfarm as far as I know. Would be a shame to not flush and ruin your flavor.
I'm not 100% positive on these things.
But pretty sure.
There are curtain Nitrogens in it that aren't in Organic stuff.

Hey MOBAY dont know if ur serious about 1 more grow cause I was also thinking the same thing. I was also thinking of my current grow being my last but I have all these seeds that I know will call my name to grow so I MIGHT have 1 last grow aswell. Only because I'm doing so many personal things that I'm trying to finish and I dont want HATERS like pothead that live around me to go and ruin my life even tho only 1 person knows about my grow I always keep 1 eye opened. I finally have 6 females that are about 2 ft tall and are 3 weeks into flowering. I dont know about hermies tho man, I'm scared cause my temps got HOT in my box. I am watering with superthrive with every watering which is about once every 5 or 6 days. If ur serious about the last grow I'll give u 3 seeds that I could spare. 1. So how was that WW compared to ur BB. Is WW live up to that 23% or whatever that high THC level was. I want really grow a nice sativa now that sucker can only veg for like 2 weeks cause that thing would grow crazy... BUK i only ran a 400w hps with the big bud. i also read where in the coffee shop, that they dont wait for the thc to turn milky and amber. they harvest sooner, so they dont write their facts at the full thc levels. like with WARLOCK the state troopers has it 29% thc, and the growers has it at 22% thc. i have 10 of the seeds so let me be the judge of that there lol.

here are a few pics of the nebula. removed the fan leaves to get some light on the lower sites. will be flushing in the morning, time is ticking, oil up the chainsaw, cause she is coming down.

today i took a look at nebula and she is cloudy with a few amber thc on her. gave water today, but i wanted to know if there is a faster way to flush? i always used this commercial flush (final flush). for a week. big bud turn out excellent when i used it in hydro. 2gallon pot she is in. will flushing with luke warm water ( 6 gallons) work?

I have 2 100 watt cfl's and a 150 watter.
I'll set them up on each side of the garden.
actually I'm going to get 3 more of those 150 watters for my flowering room and use those 2 100's for veging.

hey buk there is a diff in the nutes i used in both grows. when i used the 3 part general hydro nutes my big bud soared. but when i use the fox farm nutes nothing amazing like the big bud. damn that big bud spoiled me. i remember when you were holding up those massive buds, you couldnt see half your body. and with me i had 4 gallon air tight worth of buds. but here is the diff between the 2 nutes. http://www.4hydroponics.com/grow_room/Mnl/foxFarmOceanForest.pdf

bob she is very compacted, not airy like my other grows. had to be the lights on this one. also when she dries out i will re weigh the buds again, but the are thee hardest buds i ever had. with my big bud grow , to get the buds tight i had to squeeze them together. not with this one.

answers: she was scroged at 2ft tall. 2ft wide. 3 weeks veg, and 58 days flower. gave all fox farm nute, using their feeding charts. i cut all the yellow leaves off during the flowering time and removed all of them the last week of flowering. 1st it was the cfl lighting i give the attributes to, 2nd the scrog and 3rd the strain :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

I like the look of the plant under those cfl's.

BUT - 500 watts for one plant that size, seems like alot of power for one plant. A 400 HPS could easily produce 4 plants of this size.
Your total weight is yet to be determined, I doubt that 8.9 ounces is what you will get, more like maybe 2 at the most.

Not trying to be a nay sayer, I really like the thickness of the buds.

bhg ty on the post, but the 500w was for 4 plants at one time. nebula was the only female out the bunch , so i just left her under the lights.

bob bob no i didnt use all 7 of fox farm nutes, just the 1st 3. week 3-4 didnt have big bloom feedings. my reasons are, i could get the lights really close to the plant, making the buds stay more compact together. also my electric bill is awsome. i have the lights and a/c hooked up to 1 outlet in the house. and havent blown one breaker. try that with hps. iam not knocking hps, but if there is another way, that gives you results as the hps, why not try it.:D :D
