of whales and woes, a poem

i had to write a poem for class. heres i what i wrote. i dont usualy share my writings.

Its hard to think, but so easy to view
how wild its been, but so close to the tree
that my apple has fallen and rolled 20 miles
to this, the whale of my minnow.

swimming through a fishtank, suddenly
thrown into the ocean surrounded by
wounded, and stunned, and sharks
learn to swim, swim to learn, but
dont fall behind or the sharks will win

but to think is not as easy as
i am here, in the water
to be a bird and view from the top
so to think as i can see

soon this school of fish will grow
and soon i will leave the group
to fend for myself.
