Hey guys. my plants are only in veg about to be flowered. and they stink already. its seaping out into living room. Im in an apartment so this is not good. tommorow i GOTTA do something about it.

I was looking into these... http://www.altgarden.com/site/ODOR/page1.html

Not sure what size i would need. my cab is about 48 SQ ft which is something like 4Lx2Wx6H

BUt I was also thinking about doing this in two rooms....

POSTMAN.. Can u tell me if Hydrogel (polymer crystals) is the same as those crystals on the first link in my post here. And how well this thing works? I mean, was that your only form of odor controll? or did u have both?

also I have a squirl cage 265cfm can i just blow through the carbon filter or no? or i need a can fan too.

sry if this has been posted many times before, but... its freak out time. it smells and its gonna smell much much worse soon. thx

The first link is your best bet.

It is a little pricey but you cant fuck around with the smell...it will indeed only get worse.

That unit you have selected...get the 8" canfan at least.

Also, you dont have to worry about venting the filtered air outside or anywhere...you can simply let it blow into the room and recirculate.

That unit will scrub the air extremely effieciently, however, does make some noise. You can also get a variable speed control to keep it down when the girls are sleeping as they wont smell as bad then and you can save some juice.

Its a very stong unit...very heavy too!

HARDDON... I have 4' ducking connected to my squirlcage pulling air from the light. can i hook this ducking up to the filter? eliminating the need for a can fan? cause I gotta find some cheaper way to do this. because by the time i can comfortably afford $500 is when the smell might be too bad. Mabye building a filter?
anyone got any links?

IMAGE REAPER... How well do these things work for u? i mean.. Are u in flower? and if so how many plants do u have. any pics of ur setup? and is that your only form of odor controll?

oops too late to edit again.

CF-33 FILTER (200 CFM) & 6" - 270 CFM FAN would this work with just my 265cfm squirlcage? and not the can fan.

bob i use both but if you have the cash go for the first link as hardon says you cant mess around with smell.i also use some other stuff called redosan by seldon research. it kills the oder and leaves a nice bubble gum smell. but if you have the cash the scrubber is best optoin.the postman.

I have four plants currently in flower, with only the two odor-ionizer cfl lamps ... I have one Cinderella99/Northern Lights (no aroma anyway), and three stinkers: SAGE/Cotton Candy/NYCdiesel hybrids ... I have very little sense of smell, but my girlfriend smelled the small, immature, vegging plants immediately upon entering the house ... now, with them flowering, she smells little or nothing, unless I open the cabinet door ... they work, I think perhaps mine works better, because I'm really not running enough 'fan', and the cabinet air has 'time' to be treated on its way to the exhaust ... just a theory ... :smokin:

thx guys, going to get a can-66 today.

Can I use my passive exaust 265cfm squirl cage fan to vent through a cf-66 carbon air filter?

Reason is, I dont have the cash to get the corresponding can fan. the filter is $200 and can fan is almost $300.

THx guys.

IMAGE REAPER.. I might get 2 of those bulbs as well. but gonna check the effectiveness of this can-66 1st.

i wish you luck lol
i wouldent mind a can filter as ozone generators are a bit expensive
i will get one eventually
my m8 has his on a timer cause if ya leave it on too long it can do damage to ya and to animals
they let something out called free radicals that attach themselfs to the smell and disperse them
but too many free radicals arent good
my m8 legalizedahurb should be able to give ya a bit more info on them yeah let us know how it goes anyway id like too see some pics of that can filter
cheers all :)

Sounds like youre all hooked up.

You shouldnt have a smell problem with what you got if its enclosed. Again, a lot depends on the strain, but the smell is definately an issue to be prepared for.
