Any Medway stoners about?

I'm a refugee from overgrow.com...used to hang out mostly in the philosophy forum...until one day earlier this year overgrow disappeared!

And now IC Magazine's site has inexplicably shut down---although Gypsy claims it's only temporary...

I've been living in the Medway towns going on 5 years and still have not met any potheads. The only weed I've ever been able to score has come from non-toking-friends of friends who live in London...and now those connections have dried up.

They sell plenty of large sized Rizlas at the Co-Ops around here so peeps must be toking...but fuck if I know who they are...:(

Yea, 5 years, Jack, and no pot smoking buddies to hang out with and watch South Park or Alan Partridge or Father Ted or Curb Your Enthusiasm.
I don't drink alcohol so I don't go to pubs. And they still haven't legalized coffeeshops so I can't go there and meet fellow stoners...so fuck!

I've got quite a few cool mpeg files of Bill Hicks and Sam Kinision and Michael Schenker Group in concert (1980s) and Bukowski and Hunter S. Thompson, and no one to show 'em to. The wife couldn't care less...all she cares about is QVC & Ebay....

Would also be cool to go to Amsterdam with a fellow toker(s) because non-tokers just ain't that taken with the place. For me it was like being a kid at Disneyland for the first time...and the NYC Diesel!!! Holy Smoke!

i don't even know the obvious places.
there aren't any coffeeshops like in Amdam.
as i said above, i don't go to pubs, not a drinker.
so when i say i've been looking i've just been counting on luck/chance/fate to run into one at workhell or on the bus...
in the states we stoners just somehow notice each other and hook up.
you can tell by the tee-shirts or buttons/badges: usually fans of heavy metal or 70s hard rock (like Zep and AC/DC and Hendrix and etc). or the usa stoners wear the leaf pendants or leaf imprints or leaf ear ring or leaf tattoo.
but here in britain (or maybe just Medway) y'all are invisible.

Music shops. Go to music shops for guitar strings. And records. And interesting people. And the Lounge On The Farm (http://www.loungeonthefarm.co.uk/) festival, this very weekend. You will be sure to meet like-minded folk. :D

Sorry to double-post, but help a brother out...

The Vines is a small, pleasant park just off Rochester High Street. Go down Rochester Maidstone Road until it becomes Crow Lane. There you will find the Vines. An ancient vineyard, believe it or not... In the Vines, of a weekend, you will find various emos and greebos and stoner types.

Also, while you're down at the High Street, don't forget to visit Little Dorritt (near Tony Lorenzo's) for some novelty smoking papers and/or record bags with ganja leaf designs on. Also, Rocket up the other end of the High Street is good for finding like minds.

WE ARE EVERYWHERE. We control the vertical, and the horizontal. Or we would, if we weren't too stoned.

There are lots of lovely spots hidden behind the shops on the castle side of the High Street. Kind of cheeky, but worth investigating.

I wish I *did* work at Morley's. Then I'd not only have a job, but also easy access to their almost otherworldly pasties! :D Today has consisted of a long round of sending e-mails to various agencies, when what I really want is a bar job in a nice, relaxed pub.

Problem is, you've got to do a LOT of hanging out and spending money in the pub of your choice before wheedling a job there. :o

Now the time has come for me to pack up a picnic and head off into the wild blue yonder. Gonna meet some friends in a field near Cuxton. Keep smokin' up the valley!

Well, sheee-it, I was planning to go to that thar bakery and keep my pies peeled for a stoner looking dude, but if you ain't there 9bob, then I won't bother.

As I've said: It just ain't me to go lurking about the streets or back alleys for possible tokers. Too shy to walk up to strangers and ask for bud.

However: Oftentimes when I go upstairs on the Arriva 191 I swear it smells like skunk...and one of these days if I see some blazers back there I might ask if they could help out...but I doubt it. Too scared I'll be told to fuck-off.

alot of us mainly hang around indoors smoking now ( toilet n food easy to get to )

i use to work in a pub in rochester well2 actually kings head hotel an city wall ive done not great work at all 4 yrs wasted lol

I wish I could help you, Bro. But I guess this site is mainly for those with a bit more time on their hands because they're not out selling weed twelve hours of every day. Really, just ask around. Trendy barstaff and the massive groups of stoners in the Castle Gardens. Offer them some cash and you never know what might happen.

Admittedly, that's a fairly certain route directly to jail, not passing go, and not collecting £200 either..
