hey
I would like to know what u people here on the forum think about dreams
I believe myself that they are not just a way for ur mind to comprehend what happened the day before
but that they can really show u future things or maybe even let u be there ath place or event u dream about as a sort of astral projection
I have many more thoughts about this but its hard just naming them all now
so i`ll let u guys put ur findings about dreams here first
and see what happens :D

last week I had a dream about going somewhere and using the shitter there and the curtains were see through
that day when I got up I went over to afriends and had to use the dumper and guess what??? the curtains were see through lol.
I also predicted my ex wife was cheating on me and another girlfriend after that. I told the other girlfriend about how I predicted my ex wife cheating and it wasnt too much later that I had the dream of her cheating as well. I told her about it and what do you know she left me a day later and said her ex called her and wanted to get back together with her.
for the most part though I think dreams are part of the imagination
but heres something to try
before you go to sleeep ask yourself a question that you want answered in your dreams.

i beleive its not all imagination, it cant be, explain da ja vu,
and dreams coming true and predicting the future.
but i recon its also partly your sub-consious.
i know spirits can enter your dreams, they can communicate to you that way.

dejavu is when you have the feeling you have done something or been somewhere before
it has nothing to do with dreams

bullshit.
you can dream something and a few weeks later, you get the dejavu feeling and releise you have done this before, and sometimes you releise it was from a dream. or you just know you have done it before. how can it not be possible dejavu isnt something from a dream you had?? its happened to me!

well that is called precognitive dreaming
for me deja vu doesnt involve dreams

my bf just got heavy into astral projection and meditation and he says it's seriously affected his dreams. He used to have a sleeping problem where though he would be unconcious for 12 hours at a time, he would never get enough rest because he would be trapped in rem the whole time. Anyway since he's started all this he has noticed that the people in his dreams are often people he doesn't know, has never seen, or heard of. So he thinks the dreams are just another plane of existance.
Ever wake up in a dream? Your dreaming and you suddenly realize that your dreaming? He does it all the time.

yes I have been astral travelling since I was a little kid "34 now". When I do that my body does get rest.
the method for realizing you are in your dream is just the beginning. The best way that I found is letting my body fall asleep while my mind stays awake and I am aware the whole process. this is usually done early in the morning when I wake up. When I do it this way I can pop out of my body and still be in the same room and look down at my body, get up and walk through walls and fly outside.

Sometimes dreams are about what happend that day but sometimes their just pure imagination (I love those ones). IMO dreams are like little trips, because you can see, and feel all thats happening all in the comfort of your own mind. They are better than TV, cause it all most all ways new.

last night I watched a concert video and when I went to bed I had a dream that I went to a concert. Then today I ground up some of my mimosa hostillis rootbark and virola bark and when I took a nap I had a dream that I was doing Ahyuasca

Meditation is a powerfull tool and dreams are also powerfull. You can see the enemy comin while you're sleeping or you can see the challenges that awaits our world. I realised this while I walk home by the creeping dark alleys of the Petit Train du Nord. The dreams that I have all the time are either heroic...in the likes of Final Fantasy 7 where I am Cloud or if its more realistic then I'm like Bruce Lee or if there is vampires I am sometimes bitten and as a vampire but I'm still a good guy that kills all the ones who stands in my path. Pretty cool dreams that just figured out who I am and what I should do =) Martial arts all the way and its a Jah style =).
peace :rasta:

Dreams can be many things to people. The more we are detached from greed, fear, and the bewildered herd mentality created by the media, the more powerful they become. Like an open blood vessel, an open mind receives more nutrients.

I wish dreams were more memorable and more clear. Like a dream to me usually, not always but usually feels like just a memory, even when Im dreaming at the time. Like I wish I could live a dream like you live life, Im guessing thats what lucid dreaming is.

I think that dreams are a connection between your waking mind and your subconcious. While you are awake, your concious mind overrides the subconcious, and it is only in sleep or similar states that the subconcious can pronounce itself. I know that i've had dreams of things that I want, things that I fear and so forth, but they are simply 'brought to life' if you will by the imagining or reliving of it in my dreams. What we see and recall from our dreams is everything in our mind that we want, fear, treasure and despise condensed into a fleeting moment of time mixed with the limitlessness of human imagination. What I think is more interesting than this is if you are dreamless, does that mean you are content? Also, people blind from birth cannot see dreams, but those who have lost their sight in the lifetime can see them. What could that have to do with it?

dreams do lead to astral projection. Knowing your dreaming is the first step. As poor princess stated above, your mind wakes up and body stays asleep. Usually your chakras get churning and this vibrates your body. Here is where you can leave your body. It is fun, but takes a lot of practice.

I remember a four-part horror dream from Fifth Grade. I, also, remember one of my first dreams, which involved a murderer stalking me.
Do you think that I was meant to be a movie producer?
Thanks, mory. I'll go for it!
Unfortunately, my dreams have died down since the Brain Trauma. I'm much more of a sound sleeper, now.

Soul travel, right?
I think dreams are linked to your subconcious being. They adress issues in your life that you may or may not realize are affecting you. They are a reflection of your mind in many ways...

yes MaryJane :-)
ok I have another story...
A few weeks ago I was at band practice and my drummer's nephew brought over this girl "20" who was pretty hot. I noticed her checking me out while we were playing but didnt think much of it. That night I had a dream that she liked me and her and I started making out. I found her profile on myspace and added her as a friend and she posted comments on my pics that she likes me. I talk to her on yahoo messenger also. I already have a gf and she has a bf but we both are kinda unhappy in that category. My gf can be quite bitchy and she put on a lot of wieght since we started dating. The other girls bf cheated on her. Maybe I will get together with her sometime in the future but I just think the dream thing kinda is coming true. Also last nigh I had another dream about her, in it she had a bow and arrow and was shooting at a target. hmmm symbolical maybe we'll see
