NOOOOOOOO!killed my plants i was flowering them off and followed a grow guide lowered the hps 400w to about 18" and set the timer to 12 hour light and they shrivelled didnt under water cant explain any help appreciated.also can you grow veg,under hps?

I used hps 400w for veg. stage and it worked. Here is a pic (she is still in veg stage)[attachment=o66811]

I dont know if it works on all plants cause im a beginer myself...:cool:

what are your temps at canapy level?is your light air cooled?your 400 hps will work great for veg and flowering.i just started a new grow and used a 1000 hps for veg and i am now 3 weeks into flowering,and everything is looking great

jeaz! thanx for all response im using 5" pots but looking at some pics of other peeps plants mine seem skinny....
