as most of you know, i finally persuaded my mom to let me grow a few plants in my closet in my room :D but, she said not to mention it to her again, and if anyone asks she doesnt know about it.. that was the last i spoke to her about it

but yesterday, i was readin some stuff someone posted here about cannabis legislation and my mum saw it and wanted to read it.. then i brought up the subject of growin my own.. she started askin questions like, where do you get the plants from? so i told her that you have to buy the seeds online or get them from someone who grows plants.. she was sking questions about how much will it all cost me, how much room will it take, what lights i need, and what equipment etc.. so i explained it all to her, and explained about different strains, and each plant is different, some with different kind of highs, different potencies, different yeilds, etc etc.. then i showed her the site for an online seedbank, and she started helpin me decide which seeds to order! it was fuckin nuts.. shed see a picture and be like "what about that one?" so id read about it and she was like "yea, that says its good for growin indoors and usually hasa high yield" !! it was fuckin nuts, considerin my mum used to hate the thought of me even hangin with people who had ever smoked weed!! lol anyway, we settled on orderin some Skunk 11.. :D:D

are you going to do a hydro setup? thats what i would do since the plants grow much faster. i have been set on growing hydro as soon as i get my own place ever since i read the article soil vs. hydro on overgrow.

naw im just gonna get a 400W MH or whatever, for bout 4-6 plants in my closet.. :P i havent bought the lights or anythin yet, i wanna find out whats the best way to go.. fluros, 400W, 600W, etc etc? i dont wanna fuck up

Ghost, its nice to see you have a good relationship with your mum.

It cool that she is cool with your habit, but dont ever take advantage of that. I know someone whos mom is coo with them smoking but ask that they dont smoke in the living room. Of course he smokes in the living room anyway. The one things she asks, and he cant respect that one thing. Not cool.

a 400w metal halide would be ideal I think for 4-6 plants. just make sure you don't let it get to hot in there and expect to pay anywere from $20-35 extra a month in electricity. 400W is a little more than what a computer runs at (i gotta 350W power supply, but more typically you have about a 300W power supply on a computer) you may want to invest in some flouresent tubes too if you plan to make clones of your mother plant.
