To the friends at the grow loungeâ?¦

Ladies and gents, I have to say Iâ??m looking for some camaraderie here, not specific help. I guess I just need somebody to listenâ?¦

I have started about 20 seeds over the last two months, and I canâ??t get beyond the seedling stage. I wonâ??t go into my specs here, Iâ??ll just say that I really feel that after reading cann.com for 4 months, I know what to do, and I have all the right equipment, etc. Itâ??s just not working for me!

Iâ??m really bummed. I have about enough pot to smoke (and weâ??re talking schwag) to last me for another month. I have no source to buy after that. I started trying to grow two months ago, hoping to be in time to keep myself in productâ?¦ I realize thatâ??s not going to be a reality now. I am a daily smoker, so I'm worried.

I read everyoneâ??s posts and it seems like everyone has such good luck growing, even ones that donâ??t have as good a setup as mine.. The pictures are great! I donâ??t see people posting with constant failures like I have. I just donâ??t understand why I canâ??t grow pot.

Soâ?¦ thanks for listening. I just needed to talk about it.

Dont worry, it just takes time. I am a new grower myself and am still in the process of my first grow. I have made almost every newb mistake in the book but I am learning from it and my next grow should be good. It just takes a lot of patience but hang in there and sooner or later youll work out all the bugs. Good luck and if you have any questions id be more than happy to help:thumbsup:

post some pix of your stuff/system etc. in basic growing and let's walk you through a grow...several here have helped new growers from start to finish. lw

Well you say you wont go into the specs and stuff so theres really no way to help, well I'll give you this..Dont try growing from a medium to large pot (or even small for that matter) out of a window and think you'll get good results..unless it's just hot or some shit or what ever those window growers do to get good results it wont work..my only seed that I planted grew a stem that was extra long because it was stretching for light and really couldnt get the right lighting and eventually just withered up and died xD.

seedlings are pretty resiliant, I've even stepped on some and they grew out just fine. For his plants to not pass that stage, there is something severe happening.

If your growing indoors, I would take a stab in the dark and say that you are drowning (overwatering) them. That is the only thing I can think of that would kill a plant that quick (that and heat).

If outdoors, I would say pests are eating them.

You are doing something extremely wrong, something big, for them not to get out of the seedling stage.

It does sound like the start of a sympathy thread however. (It's quite obvious he isn't looking for help since he won't post specs) If your not looking for help, and you took time and energy to post this here, what exactly are you looking for? Free weed? Hah...

yep...possibly overwatered. Or under fed. Or over fed.
Or ph.
It could be anything.
Can you let us know the details?

and don't feel bummed about losing a crop...most if not all of us have lost at least one during our gardening years. ya just have to plant more seeds! and work out what went wrong, of course...

plenty of time left to start an outdoor grow but realise there are no shortcuts and you won't have anything to show for it until september at the earliest so plan accordingly and get a job if you have to...whatever it takes to maintain the lifestyle you seek.

Thanks to those who gave me a little sympathy... I agree, I am doing something terribly wrong. I just can't figure out what, and I am really discouraged.

I will take Latewood's advice and post specs over in Basic Growing. Thanks for following if you do. Your advice is very appreciated.
