well the kind of heaphones i want to get but havn't yet are those ones that are seperate, like the ipod headphones would be, but theyre bigger and wrap around your ear.
also, something you can do with ipod headphones is take off the metal mesh thing on the headphones and its a perfect screen.

Ipods have EARPHones, Headphones have the headband (connected together in middle) and cup over the ear,
EArphones are the small little ones that fit inside your ear (also known as earbuds)
IF you want headphones, go for senheisers if you got the money.

Grado is another good choice but I have found that the wooden ear peices hurt after awhile. Try www.headphone.com for headphones/amps.

I got the sennheiser hd-25 pros(the good version) and its awesome. Badass bass and supreme clarity, portable and is a closed headphone meaning it blocks out outside noise. Got em for $150.

I dont know about blockin out other sounds but I have Panasonic Stereo Headphones RP-HT46 and the quality pwnz lol. I actually had previous headphones and compared the quality and this has to be the best quality I've ever heard from all the headphones I ever had.
