People are always talking about the 'apacolypse'
well i think that humans will be exstinct before the apacolypse.
I think we will die out just as the dinnosaurs.
then a new race will rule the land.
who will it be? what will they look like>?
and finnally,
will they do more damage than humans??
i think so.

I dont think there will be another form of species that will evolve from us. I say this because I think the humans have always been the superior race on earth, as for other realms who knows. I can truly say that we only know what goes on here. For all we know there could be the "internet" some where else where aliens are and they can be living daily like us and all of that. So as for the earth I dont think we'll ever die out or have a species that isnt humans that takes over the earth.

The Earth will end up inhabitable for any intelligent being.

i think once people evolve so that they use 100% of there brains well figure out how to aviod the apacolypse.
and if we cant use all of are brains in the 500 million years when the sun explodes or what ever is suppose wipe out the humans then we deserve it

If half of the prophecy that leads to the apocalypse has already happened there is no way to avoid it...it's just bound to happen and we just have to accept that fact and deal with it.

I think robots will take over in 500 years.

id say closer to 150 years
50 years from now well have transhuman machines and who knows what other bizzare shit that will be engineered.
In a way, science fiction does come true.

The only chance for human survival is space travel. We need to learn what we need to learn and figure out how to relocate to other planets. The earth will become unihabitable before humans "just die off" as you put it. Hopefully we don't fuck up our new plantets like we did this one. I kinda wish I could be alive for the day when this becomes necessary. Another possibility is that an asteroid wipes us out tomorrow.

Actually, have you heard of "grey goo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey_goo)"?
This is made up of millions of tiny machines (nano technology) that is programmed to devour everything it comes in contact with creating a grey goo.
Otterpop, when are you going on your "retreat"?

I think robots will take over in 500 years.
Either your joking or insane...robots have to be created, and how will the reproduce to continue the domination?

First off the grey goo theory sounds like a rip off of a REAL theory. Think about a tiny machine that has a blueprint for itself in its memory storage matrix. The ability to reproduce itself.
Now give that little nano machine the fucntion of catalyzing carbon in our air and turning it into graphite.
Basically the entire surface of our planet would be covered by a mile high solid crust of graphite (pencil lead) within a few months. It could all be started with one single microscopic nanomachine.
