Heights have never really bothered me too much. I have gotten small cases of vertigo, but nothing serious. I haven never fallen or jumped more than 15 ft either.
Tell us a story of being scared to death of a high place.

or if your fearless and nothing scares you.

i was on a high ropes course for the first time
we had to climb up a tree using these big staple
looking things.about 50 feet up there was a tight rope
one on top one on bottom.i had to walk about 30-40 yard
across the rope and ring a bell then walk back to the middle
and jump down using a harness on belay.ive never done some
shit like that.my legs were shaking uncontrollably.i couldnt stop em
then after a few minutes of scaring myself i found peace.its not that bad anymore.i want to learn ropes more

Yes, I am afraid of heights and I'm never getting on a roller coaster again. The first time I did I thought I was gonna die and I almost broke my neck...

Heights never bothered me which is good thing considering all the rock climbing I used to do. Only one time I got kinda freaked out. I was doing a big climb in the Sierras and was about 1,000 feet up. I was belaying my partner but there was no ledge or anything to stand on so I was just hanging there, trusting my weight to these little metal things wedged into a crack in the rock. The wind started to pick up and began to literally blow me around. I suddenly became aware of the fact that I was really, really fucking high up in the air. Sometimes when this happens to a climber you can just bury your head into a crack so it doesn't feel so bad. But this rock was really smooth and kind of convex, like being on the outside of a round glass, so you could see all around you. Like it or not. My heart started beating really fast and I almost started hyperventilating. Fortunately my climbing partner caught up to me and was able to get me to focus back on the climb ahead. Weird, never happened before and never happened again but it sucked when it did.

Come on now. Rollercoasters are great. I always think "what are the chances' pretty slim if you ask me. Unless it one of those fly by night circuses that roll thru tow with drunks settin up the rides.

I have been scared quite a few times in my life but nothing still beats my cliff hanging adventure last year. I still a little anxiety when I think back on it.

Afraid of heights, no. One time I was afraid of hieghts...walking the out cat walk of the Parachutes ride @ Six Flags Great Adventure without a safety leash. I and a friend who worked there decided to go up to watch the fireworks display. All the safety harnesses were out and we said eff it. It gets REAL windy up there!!

I'm not afraid of heights when I know I'm attached to something, or there's something I can hang on to. I've never tried climbing (other than trees *lol*) so I don't know how I'd handle that. I don't like being on the edge of cliffs though, cause I always feel like I'm gonna slip, or topple over, or sometimes I even feel like I wanna jump... that's when I back away quickly and go sit down!

scared, no but i respect heights...i work as a rigger on one of my part time jobs.....some times over 160 feet above an arena floor. i always use a climbing harness......climb smart and dont rush is what i learned.....but you never know...in december while i was on a fire call i fell off a roof breaking three ribs and rupturing two disks....seems my firefighting days are over...rigging days too!

It is not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop
