*Moderators, I ask you please not to replace this thread for my logic cannot be generalized into any of the subcategories.*

In this day and age we inhabit a world/culture influenced by technological advancements. In the information age, it would seem befitting, much less ironic that the human being is as stupid as ever. Not necessarily stupid, but definitely less experienced. Technology is detrimental to future generations, before you know it our race will become inferior to who knows what! I've digressed. I come to you this evening to pose a very simple question, that is: Do you feel spiritually detached?

I've witnessed and admired many ancient civilizations/cultures, many of which are still roaming the Earth, but are in grave danger of being "modernized". I feel that this "way of life" isn't fulfilling the least bit. There's no happiness, but instead a desire to do good, which is temporary. Of course, this thread is brought to you inspired by ignorance. I imagine a life with no possessions, other than what you create. I imagine a life where you take from Mother Nature, only to expect Mother Nature to take back. In my heart--cold at that--I firmly believe we're synthetic. That we've developed an artificial soul. Forgive me for not explaining in detail, but in a forum of reefer heads, I expect deep thinking and understanding...you're all geniuses in my eyes and masters of adaptation. I unfortunately can't accept change. This wasn't brought upon you for my own well-being, but for the spiritual well-being of modern humanity. That is all. And thank you for reading.

I completly agree with you....

I suppose in a way I do feel spiritually detached, there is nothing spiritual about living in a city, Luckily I live in the country and I love it!!
As for technology....I have said this before....I think things like the internet are going to do more harm than good to society, I would much prefere to live in a world where people have to hunt for their food etc....just basically living at peace with nature.....

By thats just my opinion.....I hate society as it is today.

Well, I think I've realized something...

I too hate American society, but atleast I'm aware of other societies that I appreciate. I'm sorry, I just got finished watching this anime movie and it kind of hit close to home. Perhaps my logic behind my dislike, or hatred for society comes from a deep-rooted hatred for myself. I can't "connect" with anyone. It's as if my heart is blocked off to the outside world...and even to myself. Or maybe I'm just being a drama king...? Who knows? I certainly don't. I see I live in a world of pain and uncertainty, and I wonder if that's the reality I've created for the rest of the world, too? That's wrong, isn't it? I think that no one cares if I confronted them or not...no one cares if I talked to them, but I also can't help to think that it's because I don't care if anyone talks to me or even wants me...I can't believe it. Here I am, though still looking for help and advice. Advice I suppose on how to love yourself, because I don't think I do...and I don't think I know how. Hmm...I've had that Frankenstein book for quite some time...I think I'll read that. lol Life is funny and miraculous...how being completely oblivious can actually be an internal alarm going off--directing you--because you've lost control. It's all pointing to one thing.

I don't think it's impossible to find spirituality in city life, but I do think that it's harder and so many people can't be bothered any more. We all seem to want faster, bigger, more expensive that we've forgotten the kind of satisfaction that would come with a more provincial existence. Then again, how do you think we've got where we are? The farmers and hunters thought their life was too tough and started inventing things to make it easier. I doubt I could feel any more spiritual on a modern farm with all the high tech equipment they now have than I do here, in the middle of a city. There's no way to go back, sadly, although it would be interesting to try to live off the land for a while.

This world is just that, Satan's system of things. You see what is to come as do alot. The world is wakeing up to the fact Man with Out God is Greed. But yes tech has made this world so small and detached from our creator, God, Jehovah or true father. Satan's system is comming close to an end! Look around you and OPEN YOUR EYES, what do we see? Yes we see Greed and Satans system everywhere! All throu history we see it again and again, Greed comes into power and over takes them, Satan Shows him self. We need to turn back from this system of things. Tech has changed this world and no longer could one Hide from a world oppershion. Also at this same point we can see Tech will also not stop the Heavens and earth nor the sun nor moon. These things such as Floods, Earthquakes, Comets, Golbal warming and desiease Will still befall mankind! Only he who is putting faith in God and doing what is right in his eyes will live. Our days might be another world oppershion but with tech how would god's faithfull survive? These are the Last Days look around you! This system of things can not go on. Were Told that if were truely looking for him he will not hide from us. We are told To Keep Our Eyes Open Seeking god. He who is like Abraham's wife and even looks back at this system of things longing for it will be but a piller of salt dead in jehovah's eyes. Will not god provide all such things that we need? Would not our creator give us all that we are designed to recive? As long as we don;t hold onto or look back at Satan's system of things like Abraham's wife, and trust and put faith into our god Jehovah, He will remember you. We were created to live forever on this earth under a perfect God'ly rule, and learn to love and enjoy our creator Jehovah. All men are created equil. Men gathering up things for them self putting faith in there self to rule over his fellow Brothers is what has disconected them from knowing God and they will be the ones Forgotten.

true spirituality has become repressed in the past 2000 years. there are too many greedy people that dont want you to know the truth. perhaps someday all of this will change. too many people think spirituality lies in a church that they go to every sunday and give money to the church "preacher for his nice cars and mansion"
meanwhile on the other side of the world a priest just goes door to door and gives blessings in exchange for a meal in a bowl he carved himself.
people in the white house wipe thier ass for 1000 bucks a shot ??????
wtf the fucking greedy bastards
did you ever see that show "future weapons"??? oh boy kill the enemies with robots you cowards. like we really need more and more powerfull weapons as if destroying the planet thousands of times over isnt enough they just keep building more and more nukes.
maybe the leaders should just get in a ring and fist fight

Yes you are right, God just wants you to read his word the Bible and aply it to your life. Thats IT! The chirch will have you come and worship under a CROSS IDOL? They have gift shops for proffit? How does a Preist really be showing what the Bible teaches when he him self is not humble? The Preist is much richer than the common man? Why do teachers of god need such things? If the money gos to anything more than feeding him self and a humble home, what riches has he saved with god? God has never wanted you to gather your Brother and force work or service. Satan's system is at end.

Move with me to Central Asia. There we'll be in a land untainted by the technological society-a land who still holds true to their ancestors-a land where spirituality is found in the first step into their culture. I believe we're distracted from the truth, like the others said-only to feed the greed. It's sad really. I wonder if I'll be forgiven...well, I think I answered my own question. But that doesn't mean we can't change. If the truth was to be told, would anyone listen? We've become so fixated on our way of life that many believe it's the new freedom. I suppose my mind has been this way for a reason, and it's not because I don't love myself, but because I've seen my own person stirred and all mixed up...is it because of how I've lived? Is it a personal issue? I beg to differ. When I take a hard look around me all I find is confusion, angst, and strife. Regretful human beings who don't even know what they're regretting-truly. I believe God-the creator of the universe is working overtime. He's inside us all-creating the pain in hopes that someone will open their eyes. God is all I believe. He lives up above and us down below him. Would I be wrong to say humanity is the devil? We must set aside our pain and walk with it, because it'll always follow us-lurking around the corner is hell and only inside your heart can heaven exist.

Yes Satan is this system of things. God wants us to be able to say No thats not what God said! We are differnt from you who have crupted mankind, we care and have compassion, we belive god is our true ruler and that man should not hold power over man. That God did make all we see and have and can just as easy take it away! Man can only use terror, Jehovah God is the one who can forget you FOREVER!

What's the differences between believing in Jesus Christ and not? I see you believe in Jehovah God, but what's the reason behind the belief that Jesus Christ is not the son of God?

Jesus Christ is the son of Jehovah. I belive in both Greek and Hebrew scriptures. He came down to offer his life to account for adam's sin and help us understand god even more. What is your question?
