hey, i am starting a hydro grow, with 6 plants, 2 250 watt hps and co2 scrog'd

i have no access to any clones, so i am looking for 6 feminized seeds, just wondering what you guys would reccomend for a first timer hydro grower with co2, looking for maxinum yield (4 ounces per plant)

i am leaning towards power plant, but not to postive, looking for opinions.

also whats a good reliable seed bank that ships to usa? i was going to go to hempdepot, but lookin for others thanks

A few things:
-How big of an area are you going to be working with? Remember, you want to have 50Watts per sqaure foot. You can go a little as 20 Watts per square foot, but your per-plant yield will be quite limited.
-With 2 250 HPS lights, your ideal grow footprint would 3-3.5 x 3-3.5 feet. I haven't done a SCROG before, but I believe you only need 4 feet total of vertical space to grow, from floor to top of lights.
-If you can, make sure your lioghts are in an air-cooled hood, attached to a blower with ductwork, so you can get the lights closer to the plants and minimize your vertical space needed.
-I am of the opinion that 4 ounces per plant for 6 plants grown under two 250 W lights is not going to happen. I get 4 ounces from one plant under one 400W light, which gives a yield of .28 grams/watt. It takes experience and a good technique to get .5 grams/watt. You are expecting to get a total of 672 grams from 500 total watts, which is 1.34 grams/watt, which is totally unrealistic for all but the most experienced growers. IOW, you're not gonna get 4 ounces/plant under your currrent setup. Just do a couple of grows and refine your technique. Be happy with what you get and look for ways to improve.
-IMO, feminized seeds aren't the best way to spend your money. Instead, buy regular seeds and grow 2-3 times more than you will be harvesting. When they show their sex, you can then choose the best females and remove the others. Besides, feminized seeds aren't guaranteed to give females; they still produce hermaphrodites, which is as bad as producing males.
-Use any seedbank you like. Hempdepot has a good reputation. I've dealt with several seedbanks and I have never had a problem with any of them...even when I paid for my order in cash!

Got any pics or details of your setup?

Good luck!

hey thanks for the answers.

i havent had the time to check the post.

well i took into consideration about the light setup, and have decided to go with the most basic 1000 watt hps from this hydro shop i know of.

also, i am doing a 6 plant drip with a 17 gallon resivour.

i relazied 500 watts of light is not enough haha, so i think a 1000 watter should do the trick.

i have no pics yet as i am still planning and what not, but my intentions are the 6 plant hydro drip, 1000 watt light in a hydro tent with a carbon for any smells.

Powerplant looks ok.
I really like the look of the following strains. These are what I'd grow if I could get my hands on them.
Found the link via hempdepot.ca which carries the strains from Greenhouse Seed Co.

First Pic - El Nino
Second Pic - Himalaya Gold
Third Pic - Great White Shark
(All pics are c/o GreenHouse Seed Co. and I have no affiliation with them)
