Summer Festivals

Hi Guys,

Last October, I went to New Mexico for the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Not only did I watch several hundred hot air balloons in the same sky, one morning I actually rode one of the multitude.

Back in the late seventies, I lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin which is home to Summerfest .... a very large music festival hosted for 10 days on Lake Michigan. From what I can see from the website, it is bigger and better than ever. This is a major summer party.

So my question to all of you is what summer festivals have you attended in your part of the world ???

Newport Jazz Fest is fun... but bring rain cover because there's not a lot of places to get away from it once you're there. And I wouldn't call it openly weed friendly, so you have to work around that...

This is in the middle of no where... in Saskatchewan, Canada... but it's WONDERFUL fun every year :)

We have friends that go to Fest every summer...they wanted us to come up this year, but we can't cram that much driving into a long weekend. Sounds like a BLAST, though! You part of the Bong Patrol??? :D
