We are slowly getting our set up together. We started with a hollow three section wardrobe, the largest sections being approximately 22X19X48 inches. We are currently using 5 cfls and a fluorescent tube. We are using an 80 cfm inline fan pulling the air through a carbon filter. I'm not sure if this fan is large enough, it doest seem to be doing much.
We've germinated a number of seeds, currently only two have sprouted and appear to be doing well. They're currently on a 24/0 light schedule.
Because the soil is a particularly bland type we fear for N deficiencies so as soon as safely possible we will start a nute regiment high in N. We also plan to use a regular dose of superthrive as so much has been said to its benefit.
We donā??t know the strains of these 2 seeds currently growing, in time i guess we'll find out. These are about 4 days old...
Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Quick update... we've got a total of 4 seedlings... quickly approaching week 2. I'm having a hell of a time keeping the temperature do where it should be. Any ideas? We've changed the way the lights are, made the lights come to the plans in lieu of the plants coming to the lights. Thinking that this would keep the plants out of the hot air that rises. There is approx 3 feet of air between the lights and the top of the cabinet.
Other than the temperature, everything is going well. Again, if you have any ideas on how to lower the temp, I would love to hear them.

Things are moving along smoothly, I think. Learned a lot by trial and error, mostly error. Currently we have an 80 cfm in line exhaust fan pulling the air from the top *pic 1*. I'm in the process of building the carbon air scrubber, the exhaust will be pulled into that using a 240cfm in line fan. I am hoping that will lower the temp some.
We've added a small automatic watering system, it's on a timer, set to water at scheduled times. *pic 2-5*

We currently have four plants, in 3 pots. We'll be separating 2 soon. We are currently on week 3. The average temp has been around 85, I am hoping that this new fan will bring it down some...

They'll be split tomorrow.
Tonight we finished up the drip system. We have .5GPH drip ends on a 330GPH water pump. It's scheduled to run every other day for 15 mins. We can change the frequency if needed.
We started the first two in a wet paper towel, once they sprouted a little, we moved them to the soil. The other two, currently together, i just stuck them in the soil and covered the top with plastic wrap. Weren't expecting much out of them, however they seem to be doing the best. We buried 5 seeds in that pot, 2 sprouted within a week and a 3rd about 2 weeks, the 3rd didn't make it past the pod leaves.
We're still waiting for the exhaust fan to be delivered, on schedule for Friday delivery.

We started nutes a bit early but only because we needed to, the babies were turining yellow and seemed to slow their grow so we figured it must be the N because of the lame soil we (I) picked out. So now they are on a low dose regiment of Superthrive (1-2 drops per gallon) and Miracid 30:10:10. Even though horrible things have been said about anything miracle grow, our limited resources turned up this to be the most effecient source of N food around, although it may turn up to cause a PH problem later.... Very low doses of root stimulator and starter soultion *ferti-loam, have been added with the recomended dose being 1 tbs per gallon, the water tub has been given 2 for the five gallons its holding. As mentioned earlier the two planted in the same pot will be seperated later today, the smaller one in the corner will be leaving and will be put into some better soil and more room but all the same as far as nutes.

looking good, keep those fluoros on 24/0 or 20/4, they'll keep em nice and short. as far as mylar or paint, i'd go with the mylar, i'm using emergency blanket mylar for my setup, its real cheap. Flat white paint is good too.

it's been about a month i guess, we're up to 5 plants, ones not doing too well. We found another one growing up under an existing plant. It's the smallest, youngest one you see. They all seem to be doing well. We're watering and feeding on a regular schedule. We added a new 4410 lum/42w cfl last week, and rearranged the cabinet, removed the center divider to double the grow space. The new exhaust seems to be working fine with a new larger fan.
Check out the photos, leave what feedback you may have... Thanks again!

You should plant them higher in their pots. It allows better circualtion of air round the plant as the plants waste gases be contained by the pots and suffocate them.

we gave them 1/3 of a cup a day until it got to be a good size, then as needed. we had them on 24/0 for a while, now they're on 18/6, to save some electricity. good luck.
