oh I agree with you... i just hate how it's always 100 people looking in the lounge to the 10 in the Politics... not that one is better than the other or that more people should come here. What I don't understand is when people get angry at the ones who want to talk politics, in the politics section. I know more people read in the lounge and a post is probably read more up there, but why don't people get mad at the 100 people who don't care enough about the politics to read through these posts. Shelby, you've been good at coming down here and reading things and posting... but look through the threads, it's only a few people each time writing things.

I guess I'm just upset that more people find the crap that is being talked abuot in the lounge more interesting than the things that effect thier lives. It's by an almost 10x majority as well. I'm mad at the people who know this is important and want to talk about/spread the word about it... but are to lazy to post it down here and to follow up down here. A lot of people don't go to both and it's sad. Really sad that they choose to talk about shit rather than educational/historical things.... just translates america in a nutshell, which is why I am most upset.

People see it as a problem that there are more people in the lounge so they should post the most important things in there, when I see it as a problem that the majority of people see the lounge as the most important forum and don't worry about what's in it.

I cannot sing, I play guitar with minimal success... But I do not go on national television claiming I can... They are not the top 10 nor 20 either... anyone and everyone with talent stays away from that because it's not a show to find out who is the best in the world..

It's a show created by Simon to make him money... anyone with any amount of talent would understand that you are siging away your artistic creativity if you go on that show... they control you and make you into what they want so they can sell you as best they can...

I even fell bad talking about this show for this long, but it has only helped the record labels kill music as we once knew it... it's a shame that it is popular and more people know who is on American Idol than who the Beatles were. I mean most of the people who watch that show think they are singing their songs and that this shit is new.... it's a glorified karaoke.

I was so busy in the lounge I missed reading this earlier...and for some reason just about everytime I go to reply to you my phone rings..I understand about the frustration on what is going on in the world and people being more interested in Britneys 2nd pregnancy than the price of oil. Its kind of like the thing with people believing a lie faster than the truth also..my ex was so good at that..and I would try and warn some about what he was pulling and they would go right back and tell him..then when they recognized where it came from they would look so stupid! I do want to clear up that I don't think it's wrong that people like American Idol or the singers on it... I mean I like people that aren't popular or the best at what they do. I just do not like the ignorance the show casts. The fact that they don't give credit to the music behind the Idols. The fact the music isn't even a part of the show.

I mean hell I watched Making the Band on MTV, but I knew it was a joke, I didn't idolize the people on it. It should be there for enjoyment and as a muse not as something we should aspisre to be and think is what america is. My biggest complaint to the whole thing is that people use to be admired for their knowledge and their ability to express it. But know it just seems like we admire the dumbest people. America has some of the poorest school and education and people wonder why? Could it be because the televison have programmed our kids to believe that having a Crib worth $1,000,000 and a music video is 'cool'.

Honestly look at t.v. Our leader comes on it and cannot connect verbs and nouns. Millionares flash their money, cars and houses on music videos. What kind of motivation is that for the youth of america to try to aspire to become anything but stupid and ignorant? I mean it works for our president and pop stars....
