Well, there is one major difference between Bush and Hitler. Hitler was popular.

We would be fine if the majority of society had half a brain and knew how to think for themselves.

You guys are repeating yourselves. You think you are against America but what you are really against is the perspective of America that has been drilled into your brains by your news sources. Turn off your TVs and live in your own utopia. There is a greater problem with misguided hatred than with the American government.

If you utter one more "Bush is a moron" quip, I'm gonna puke.

I'm not explaining myself until I get flamed a little.

I don't think I'm against America. How can you be against the land between Canada and Mexico? Or the 300 million strangers who happen to live on that land? I'm not just opposed to Bush and the current administration, by the way; I advocate the elimination of all forms of government and capitalism.

different ways to look at it:
. i can see the "holding nazi" flags similarity
.. time, they are a changing

some Americans do need to wake up though,
cause it will get worse
if they act like they did

Revolutions only bring judgments, new problems, and more revolutionaries. Philosophy inevitably leads to a wall. Even legalization would bring new problems.

And questioning everything only leads to confusion. I've been there. The real problem, deeper than any of this superficial political shit, is that we're only human. We're limited because we're human. We are simply not capable of creating this utopia that we all dream of.

America was allegedly created as some form of religious utopia. Guess what? It didn't work. We're still bitching about authority. We're hopeless idealists, and it's part of our nature. We can't escape our instincts and our intellectual limits. The best thing you can hope to do is lay back and enjoy doing what you like to do, and live it up.

If you ask me, the real tragedy is that people give up the idea that the world can be made better. Even if we can't make a utopia, we have to try to get as close as we can.

No, Oneironaut. You're not against things and people in America but I think you fit into the group that complains when your guy ain't in power and smiles when he is.

The thing is there are 2 truths, (Dem and Rep) totally opposite and totally correct. We need to move beyond the talking heads. They have put us in a constant state of arguing and debating instead of finding mutual understanding.

Thanks for your feedback. I will consider it and respond later.

Have a great fakking day and if I could share my doob with you, I would.

But like I said, there is some positivity.

When we can overcome and truly understand our sad limits, we can embrace the fact that our next biggest problem is our hopeless idealism. Nobody outlawed living. We are capable of being happy in this world. Everyone's just stuck on the minor details.

Why? We're only human.

i should clarify that, america is my fasvourite country...but it is not what it was supposed to be..it was supposed to be a gathering of peace, not a house of war-mongers

Wrong. I don't support any political candidate. I am an anarchist and therefore am against all forms of power hierarchies such as government.

I'm against both Democrats and Republicans. Both groups fail to address the harmful effect that hierarchical systems like capitalism and the state have on society. Instead they only compete to get their guys in control of the government. They are two sides of the same coin, really, and I don't really care what either has to say.

This here post is weak compared to some other arguements I posted this. Thanks for your feedback. I will consider it and respond later.

Shit, my bad Oneironaut. I know what your saying about anarchy. Sorry to clump you in the group I'm talking about.

Edit: I see you've already made yourself clear. BTW, your posts rock, why don't you collect your ideas and put up a site or something. Not trying to kiss ass but to say what I think.

Hahaha, don't see the irony? Minnesota is complaining about how the Democrats and Republicans are complaining! What a fucking rat race.

Please, they can't even get past not judging people for not wearing a SUIT to debates. Give me a fucking break. Their petty arguments have no weight and serve no relative purpose in the big picture.

Everything goes round and round in a circle. (Or hits the proverbial wall, if you will.) Ride the spiral. You've heard the phrase "vicious circle".

See kids, this is what happens when you recieve generations of propaganda bullshit plastered everywhere you look and go. TURN OFF YER GODDAMN TV, CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION. Wanna do some good? Dont listen to mainstream media bullshit. Look at the fuckin news, its pathetic, you know they are just regurgitating what someone wants you to hear. Aside from the propaganda, dont you see how the media glorifies evil?? They wait and wait for some story that is depressing/violent/evil. Why? Because it makes fer good news.

Good point.

I see it as an onion as opposed to a circle. The deeper you get into the core, the more you understand the situation. All the "I hate Bush, blah, blah, blah" just shows what layor your at in the onion.

All the "I hate Bush, blah, blah, blah" just shows what layor your at in the onion.Yes! That's what I was saying earlier. It's just that, in my opinion, the problem lies in that we're human, and thus prone to imperfection. You can't build a house without the right tools. Surely we can't expect to create something perfect when we are far from it ourselves.

The media caters to the lowest common denominator , violence sells so thats what they show , a sensationalist public wants grief so they can look at thier own lives and think "aren't I lucky".
Goverment is a generalisation and easy target but until someone comes up with a better alternative we are stuck with them, in the defence of them I have to say that not everything they do is negative but the biggest problem in this world is hypocrisy.
As for the US goverment , IMO the problem stems from foriegn policy and the need to police everyone and everything.
I can think of two things that apply
1 Clean up your own backyard before you go around telling others how to sort out thier shit.
2 You get what you give and shit will always come back on you.
